Chicory ended the thread on a happy 70s note about a mustard carpet - our house was splendidly carpeted and it's true to say that not a colour was left out, particularly the dining room carpet which had huge swirls.

It is this week, @ChicoryDip ! Kate may have to miss a bit of Wimbledon.

Lovely pics - I think that was one of the last ones of the late Queen.

Love that picture of The Queen. I remember spending a long time contemplating one of those cape/coats before giving my head a wobble. (Dittto Kate's 'county' hats with a feather).

And weren’t they just perfect Maireas?

I know they are oldish photos but it just shows the Queens how I like(d) to see them best. ☺️

I bought a cape top. It adds voluminousness (not a word I don’t think but says it best) where there is already volume in bosoms and wings. But I still love it 😳

I also like a bit of a cape situation. More royal and less superhero of course.

Max looking good in navy at an event to mark the 160th anniversary of the abolition of slavery in the colonies.

It's unusual to see her in navy. She looks nice.

Max and Wax looking fabulous. Love that blue on her.
