Love it! In particular the Carpe Diadem!

Fiddle with it, ignore it, change the letters to make different words or wait for someone unfuzzy of thought to make it seem like Nan is all of a ramble! 😘

ArcaneWireless · 30/06/2023 22:07

Klein, darts and coronets.

chesterelly1 · 30/06/2023 22:08

I am trying and failing to come up with a title that includes Honours of Scotland, more tiaras, less tartan.
@Maireas while on the subject since I missed out on all the Coronation bling could I put in an early request for the James V crown if no one else has it

Loving the doggy pics. 😍
The Dutch royals are on hol with their own pup.
And Beatrice was out on the town last night in some strange gauzy top.

Bea’s top is The Vampire’s Wife. I loathe all Susie Cave’s creations, especially that dress with the frill on the hem which we’ve seen so many times. I’ve no idea why so many people rave about VW designs.

MotherofPearl · 30/06/2023 22:39

Carpe Diadem is genius. Grin

Back to human princes & princesses. Kate's pink Princess dress is as nothing compared with the outfits of Prince Joachim of Denmark's first wife. Cop a look at the dresses she wore:

Wowsers. I wonder how Mary would've coped with a SiL like Alexandra who I don't think would've been as low-key as Marie? She was very popular with the Danes too IIRC.

SqueakyDinosaur · 30/06/2023 23:17

The Order of the Elephant is such a cool bit of bling! So much better than a dull garter!

KillingMeDeftly · 01/07/2023 16:22

RFP has done a roundup of Kate's best evening gowns over the years. Time to 'fess up - which of you voted for the mustard Erdem horror?!?

Oh my goodness! That really is a monstrosity, isn't it?! She looks so elegant in the other two.

MotherofPearl · 01/07/2023 16:30

These are amongst my favourite of her evening dresses.

Also some of the black lace gowns.

ArcaneWireless · 01/07/2023 16:37

My nan had a fireside rug like that.

It was not lovely.

Unlike that one shouldered frock’s skirty bit. Now that is lovely. That and the green frock.

Maireas · 01/07/2023 16:43

Fireside rug! 😂 I think we had one that colour!
The one shouldered white one is stunning.

Char at the traditional sports festival. I think this is a good look - nice dark blouse and white trousers, not too fussy or dressy.

I think Char really suits sportswear or otherwise this kind of quite structured look.

Maireas · 01/07/2023 16:53

I'll start the new thread soon.

I am sure I’ve said it before but I’m sure we are cyber twinnies. If you had geometric wallpaper in your stair and lobby then I’ll be convinced. 😘. Moseying ower 😊

ArcaneWireless · 01/07/2023 17:12

Char looks lovely like that 😊

Maireas · 01/07/2023 17:13

We did! Plus Mum and Dad called it a lobby because they were Scots!

I think I could trump your rug with an entire living room carpet in mustard. The 1970s were pretty special decor-wise. 😊
