Like the navy spots fabric but not the awful flouncy 80s style.

notsuchafrugalkitty · 27/06/2023 20:30

Not keen on Kate's look today, and had no idea she was in my neck of the woods today either until my mum mentioned it.

Gooseysgirl · 27/06/2023 20:35

Nope I don't like it either, but it's nowhere near as awful as the frock horror white/yellow version of this dress she wore on the Caribbean tour... we don't need to see that one ever again!!

Papergirl1968 · 27/06/2023 21:09

Camilla in a pretty but unremarkable blue dress, Letizia showing off those arms again, Mary in a voluminous skirt, and Sophie...well, Sophie so often nails it but other times I wonder what on earth she was thinking. This khaki wrap dress with a white t-shirt beneath is a thumbs down from me.

Leti of the guns. Oh to be all toned like that.

QC? I’m not sure if it is just a really unflattering angle or it is an underpinning decision. But oh my - that colour looks the orbs on her.

Mary’s flappy skirt? Like it - not the colour.

Sophie’s frock? I quite like it and I love the colour on her. I’m not sure
About the t-shirt/top. A wee green sleeve? Miles better.

Vitriolinsanity · 27/06/2023 21:30

The only thing I don't like about Kates dress is the gold buttons.

Sophie looks great, but a slightly shorter, fitted sleeve would have worked better.

KillingMeDeftly · 27/06/2023 21:32

The initiative Kate endorsed today is brilliant.

GrouchyKiwi · 27/06/2023 21:36

Lady Edwina is so impressive.

Married to Dan Snow, too!

MotherofPearl · 27/06/2023 22:39

I love CPM's spotty skirt. I think she looks great, though I'd probably have preferred a less bulky top. A simple silk shell top would have looked better with the jacket.

I really dislike Sophie's outfit. Those trench dresses don't do anyone any favours, and wearing a t-shirt underneath doesn't help.

eggandonion · 28/06/2023 10:21

The Grosvenor bunny hole is worth going down if you have an hour to spare!

Serenster · 28/06/2023 11:39

Princess of Wales re-wearing her version of that Beulah dress to open the Young V&A today. I think Crown Princess Mary may have been the first to wear it, but with Mette-Marit, Kate, Beatrice and Lady Frederick Windsor also fans, it’s clearly the new Vampire’s Wife!

Nice dress on Kate. The belt spoils it a wee bit.
White stilettos ☹️

Serenster · 28/06/2023 11:52

(Shhh - I quite like the white heels 🙊)

KillingMeDeftly · 28/06/2023 12:07

I like her earrings but I find the dress very boring and I don't think pastel pink is her best colour. It looked better in yellow on Lady Fred the other day.

MotherofPearl · 28/06/2023 12:20

Dislike the high neck very much, and agree that pale pink is not her colour. I thought we'd burned those white stilettos? Who saved them from the blaze?

ScreenPrinting · 28/06/2023 12:39

She looks gorgeous but I agree the dress is totally the wrong colour for her, and those shoes are shockers.

SqueakyDinosaur · 28/06/2023 12:40

As it's Kate, she probably has another 47 near-identical pairs in her wardrobe.

I wonder where all her clothes are kept? I mean, there must literally be several rooms full of them by now, and I'd guess a database of everything with photos and what was worn when and where.

Ah Serenstar !!!!

DontForgetTheYakMilk · 28/06/2023 12:59

Re the dress storage, I have a very distant memory of a tv program showing a room with racks rather like they have at dry cleaners - and the ER2s various coats all hanging with protective covers and a little note pinned to the cover with a record of where/when it was worn. It is a very old memory, but as we’ve seen from Princess Anne & Beatrice’s wedding dress, clothes are kept for decades, and kept well enough to be reworn. So no yellowing or decay. God knows how big the archive must be. And as a pp noted hat storage must be a nightmare. Dress up heaven though.

MmePoppySeedDefage · 28/06/2023 13:18

I wish Kate would wear belts around her waist. She looks like a little girl with them as high as that.

Kate is supposed to be a "Summer" and pale pink is a good colour on "Summers".
I'm not convinced she is a "Summer"

Spudlet · 28/06/2023 14:17

I wonder if there’s now some kind of searchable database that they can use to find an outfit - ‘garden party, summer, location’ and get all the twenty million possible clothing thrown up?

If not, there probably should be!

Eaumyword · 28/06/2023 14:50

I really love that pink dress. Proper princessy!
I think she looks fab until you get to the shoes...

I imagine ‘coat, green’ get a few hits on that database
