Kate looked very nice today, and it was good to see her in a different colour. Her hair updo was perfect.

I loved Bea's look today. I thought she looked really lovely - dress, hat, hair, makeup, everything.

Yes- of course they all attended the Coronation, the Platinum Jubilee celebrations etc.
It's just the official working group is now clearly just those Deftly has named.
The right decision, I think.

I liked Beatrice's dress, too. I thought it was pretty without being too fussy.

Loving looking at some of the fashion this week.
My day off today so I spent the afternoon glued to the TV.
Kate looked stunning, and red really suits her. But I think it was wrong for Ascot and summer. Paler colours and pastels look so lovely.

Beatrice definitely wins it for me today.

Also loving some of these (non royal) outfits.

Let’s give her a post partum pass on the style front. I can’t even imagine trying to dress my post natal self for public display. I was still wearing maternity pyjamas when the baby turned 1

Just seen Kate's red outfit and think she looks fabulous. I do love red and she looks so put together and elegant.

I agree with the slimmed -down , nuclear working royal family etc, I just seem to notice Beatrice having more exposure lately, a slight nod towards her relative seniority and wonder if she would want to have a higher working profile. It’s not like they are over run with working royals of her generation and I’m sure they could do with the help.
I also like her fashion sense and shoes and would like to see more if it.

@gluenotsoup Bea is now a Counsellor of State and will be for the next decade or so. I think she may be being given a slightly higher profile, partly because PA and the Sussexes have stepped down and logically the Kent’s and Gloucesters must be cutting back.

Since her marriage she seems to have subtly changed her style, possibly a stylist and a bigger clothing budget. I liked her blue outfit at the Jordanian Royal Wedding and todays outfit was really lovely.

Both Beatrice and Eugenie cultivate a reasonably high profile and are involved in personal engagements. Beatrice has obviously been at Jubilee amd Coronation events, and I think she always goes to Ascot. It's nice that she was invited to join in the carriage drive and clearly gets on with everyone, but I doubt that it will be any more than that.

I've seen it suggested Kate's recent outfits were to make up the colours of the Welsh flag. I really hope that was not the case!

Surely Ascot is a social event? There are tonnes of celebrities and minor royals there.
Bea and Eugenie are still the King's nieces so maybe that gets you a carriage ride on occasion, or perhaps Wills and Kate invited Bea, they seem quite close?
I don't think there is any chance Charles will have them as working royals.

Yes, I think Bea and Edo get to ride in the carriage to underscore the “Royal Ascot” brand and add to the atttraction of the event (you can mingle with famous people!) not because they are, or are likely to be working royals.
