@Dee1224 and a most lovely pup too! 😍

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 17:47

Thank you @Noeggsontoast! We keep telling ourselves he is ‘calming down’ 🤣but we are so glad we rescued him 🦴

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 17:50

@BettinaInDenmark - your haul looks fabulous!

Noeggsontoast · 16/06/2023 17:54

@Dee1224 bless you for rescuing him. Time, patience and love.

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 18:00

Thanks @Noeggsontoast - he’s a husky and quite bonkers, (which is why so many end up in rescue), but we love him ❤️

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 18:00

My sister likes the broad check dress, which is bad news for me, because I want it 🤣

Yeah .. but she looks a bit fat/ matronly/ ages her/ washed out/really not her colour in it, though ...@Dee1224 .. I think she should be told 😉 (worth bribing her DH /kids your Mum.. ?) 🤣

@Laska2Meryls 😂😂😂

Loving all the purchase reports. @BettinaInDenmark that is an epic haul, please report back!

My two parcels just arrived / the patch pocket hemp/cotton jacket in navy is a beauty, I tried it on in a store a few months ago so I’m glad it’s as lovely as I remember - and almost 50% discount! I bought it in my usual Toast size and is generous but not oversized. Socks good too.

Both jumpers (lofty jacquard in plum size M and wool/cashmere in clementine size L) are going back, both really really big and the clementine is Not My Colour. May reorder the lofty jacquard in small, not sure. Overall feel pleased - was quite scared I’d want to keep it all which would have been a lot of money 😬

Alpacasoft · 16/06/2023 20:01

My first parcel arrived.
The Radicchio Bryn dress is absolutely gorgeous.
Lovely heavy crepe, waist nips in, perfect
Windflower pj's also lovely.

Oar check jumpsuit -perfect except its too short in the body .
I saw the review about getting stuck in it or dislocating a shoulder and had the same issues.
It fitted perfectly everywhere except the body length and is a lovely crisp check.
It also had an unfortunate V shape in the check which ran down into my bottom.
My bottom does not need arrows pointing the way to it I can assure you 🍑

I also have the other 2 xs and s in the Cross check jumpsuits on thexway and fear it will be the same story.
Toast -please make a range of lengths !

Countmeout · 16/06/2023 20:24

Re the Francis Tees I also have them in Cumin and a wine shade that popped up in a sale one time and the fabric of those is perfect and I have worn them a lot so it must be hit and miss.

MiracleToast · 16/06/2023 20:27

My sale parcel arrived and what a treat after a long sweltering day in the office.

The Dhuggie is PERFECT in a medium despite me worrying the old sizing would be wrong. I am a ‘normal’ size 10 and 5’9 and it’s nice and roomy in the medium but not overly so. It goes incredibly well with the stripe apron. I saw these hanging together in the Edinburgh shop in December and had them in my wish list since. So definitely keeping.

Elena tunic shirt in white—bought in a size 10 and is quite neat and lovely but I’m not sure if it’s still too expensive to keep. It probably would be useful but as I hate ironing I wonder if it wouldn’t earn its wear. Undecided.

Will keep and see what the new drop brings.

@Alpacasoft , your quote "It also had an unfortunate V shape in the check which ran down into my bottom.

I've put my two dresses on again and think they don't need tinkering with, but I'm hesitating on the painted check now. I really love it but I'm not sure I'll wear it much. I'll have a think.

Winners from me: 3 x dresses of a similar vein, everything else is going back.
lightweight denim sleeveless dress- this is lovely, very large, I ordered the 10 and it’s fine. I am a 14. I’m going to wear it with a tshirt under which I think works if you undo the chest buttons

Eda Black Denim Pinafore Dress | Black × - I think! I am concerned about colour fade but I guess I could redye it if a problem- interested to hear others thoughts.

Garment Dye Linen Side Button Dress | Charcoal - this is my favourite one of all, but it’s about 1 inch right across the chest. Wearable at the moment and optimism says my weight loss in 6 months will make it perfect. Hmm. If I undo the top side button it’s perfect but looks messy so probably not an option. I assume I ordered a small as that was all that’s available and now it’s out of stock and there probably won’t be returns.

all three need taking up as usual.

going back- herb pique shirt- I have too many of these shouldn’t have ordered, bark viscose dress- another viscose dress I won’t wear, as above , Ivy denim tunic dress but wide and just not my favourite, peacoat- seemed massive and overwhelming, mere check lounge dress- weirdly small.

took me some time to try these all on!

The sleeveless dress in indigo is fab. I wore it a lot through winter with a tee under it. Beware, the indigo comes off it constantly on your hands. Its such a lovely dress though. I would still keep it.
Disappointing about the pea coat. I have so wanted this. What size did you go for? Is it not that nice? Ive not ordered it as it is still pricey.

@ToastCosILoveIt - the Mariner trousers are true to size on me, I ordered the 14 and they fit well. I ordered both the denim and hemp styles but I am keeping them both which of course I hadn't planned to do!!

dudsville · 17/06/2023 07:36

I tried that ivy denim tunic too @Snowyowl78 , it's weirdly square. It also looked like it was loaded with dye and i didn't like the feel of the denim, i prefer the rougher crisper stuff.

Snowyowl78 · 17/06/2023 08:20

@neveradullmoment99 ooh did it still do that after a wash? I’m going to wear it with a tee the whole time probably. The pea coat it looked lovely and stylish but everything was so big! Big collar and very wide and swingy. I thought I looked a bit silly. Although I did speed try on everything yesterday, I’ll probably try it on again with proper clothes to see.

@dudsville yeah it made me look like a little girl. Not too good.I also tried the oar check dress that I was expecting to be the same shape as the cotton cashmere check one that I have (this is lovely by the way and still in the sale), but the skirt area was much fuller! So I’m sending back.

Snowyowl78 · 17/06/2023 09:00

Ps. @neveradullmoment99 lm not sure if should take up the hem, do you think it’s doable with the splits?

It still does it after quite a few washes. I wear it and constantly put my hands in my pockets. When I look at them, they are blue :) I haven't had it transfer on to clothing [ I always wear it with a tee under it ] but I never wear it with anything like white/cream. Its usually a striped emma tee.

Would you lose all of the side splits? I think it would be fine unless it makes it tight to walk in?

dudsville · 17/06/2023 10:02

I've decided to send back the pained check, so that's a 10 if anyone wants one, keep an eye out for it. The thought process was an interesting one. This fit me the way it does the models (rare), and I've always liked the pattern and fabric. But I left both it and the landscape dress hanging up in a door frame overnight. Every time I passed I wanted to touch and look at the landscape dress and was just imagining all it's uses, whereas I felt critical everytime I looked at the painted check, is it me, will I wear it, etc., I think I will just have to admire it on others which is the way with so many things anyway.

dudsville · 17/06/2023 10:03

which side split dress is this that you're discussing?

FufferPish · 17/06/2023 10:23

Well the parchment garment dyed linen jumpsuit has arrived and I am definitively and XS, so further proof the new sizing system is not really different here. Sorry to keep posting the same image of me in a jumpsuit, but here it is. I look like a painter in it do it definitely needs dyeing. I was thinking initially a dark red, but one bright colour is very full on so am now thinking darkish grey.

That’s an interesting and wise thought process. I think there are just some things, beautiful as they are, that just aren’t us. Glares balefully at Kala dress.
