All three of my sales parcels arrived.

The drawstring collar dress is rather nice, quite a neat fit at the tops of my arms so I couldn’t wear much under it, but a bigger size would be too big on the shoulders. It’s also a good length on me as I’m 5’ 4” and often dresses are very long. Not quite sure what to do with the drawstrings though.
Definitely a keeper although I don’t really need a dress in a dark colour as I already have four dark denim dresses.

Round collar stripe tee is not very exciting, and also uncomfortable on my arms so that will go back.

Stripe Pinafore apron I’d been hankering after for a long time, another keeper.

The socks were mostly ones I already had except for the cable ones in grass, they are very thin and probably not worth even the sale price, but I shall keep them just for the colour.

Fracap hiker boots I had tried at full price but returned as not really suitable for hiking. This time I ordered with that in mind but I’m not really sure they are worth the money as fashion boots. Also the pair I’ve been sent have an annoying bit of the insole not stuck down properly.

Finally the garden kneeler, which again I had wanted for a long time, has arrived really marked. I think this maybe just a feature of the fabric and would get like this in use anyway but still annoying. Has anyone else got this? It’s now out of stock so no option to try another one, I’m not really sure what to do.

So good to hear how everyone is getting on with purchases.

Is the Peacoat very big @Snowyowl78 ? I ordered small and now doubting myself although I am not small but I do order small generally in an SML type sizing.

Re the wear. I have the linen balloon trousers and really feel they look too creased and not sure how they will wear. I am an ironer though. I love putting on a nicely ironed thing.

The worse wearing item for me is a Francis tee in bone/parchment. It looked like a rag after a couple of washes and now has developed a small hole right in the middle of one boob. I am not sure whether to take it for repair or not? I still like the style and could wear it under things.

The Donegal tie neck cardigan is wonderful @Noeggsontoast . If it reappears in a later sale when I have more money to spend I would like it.

Disappointed to hear that about the cotton mark jumper @Dee1224 its another one I like.

The only socks I rate are the falke woollen ones. Bought an active breeze pair by mistake last time and find them too thin.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 16/06/2023 14:22

@Countmeout I’ve got the Francis tee in putty / mineral blue from the sale at Christmas, mine has gone bobbly , which is a shame as I really like it.

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 14:23

Thanks for your feedback @ilovecherries - I will ponder overnight!

@faustina - I am so glad you found the jackets after the disappointment last time. I am looking for darker trousers, but thanks for thinking of me.

I ordered the bitter chocolate linen trousers in medium but really need a small. I am also not massively keen on the colour, but would have kept if not so massive as they feel lovely.

My sister’s Broad Check dress, (that I missed out on), is arriving today, so I am going to try that on tomorrow. If it suits me, not her, I will buy it from her. If we both want it, I will know to keep watching for returns!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 16/06/2023 14:33

Yes that’s the one @Dee1224 the blue is true to the colour on my screen.

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 14:38

Thanks @Theteapotsbrokenspout - I will watch with interest to see if it reduces further, given your bobbling info.

FufferPish · 16/06/2023 14:47

Everyone's looking fab in their dresses! I've finally managed to get in my sales order. I've ordered:

  • Boat Neck Stripe Organic Cotton Tee | Charcoal/Rust
  • Diamond Stripe Cotton Jumpsuit | Ink/Stone
  • Elena Cotton Linen Tunic Shirt | Dusted Khaki

Order is on its way. The garment dyed parchment jumpsuits should arrive tomorrow. (Exciting!)

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 16/06/2023 14:55

@Dee1224 I’m not sure if I was being confusing, the bobbling was the long sleeve Francis tee, but I think this is exactly the same fabric type.

faustina · 16/06/2023 15:07

@Dee1224 - ah yes it was you with the jackets last sale ! The 8 is absolutely perfect thanks. I'm now trying to work out which to keep as I love both colours

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 15:11

I see, thanks @Theteapotsbrokenspout

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2023 15:29

Well my order of 2 dresses arrived.
Maya dress is very lovely. Unlike most puffed sleeve items, it falls perfectly at my shoulders [ I have narrow shoulders] I bought the yellow ochre one [ not the navy] Its definitely not for this heat but an average day in Autumn, Spring and even a cooler day in summer it would be fine. I am a 14 and the 12 fits me nicely. I do have a bust so it's generous.
The other dress, the elm check is a gorgeous dress. I could kick myself for not sizing down to a 10. The 12 is still very big. I quite like it with the tie waist and it looks fine and not too big but it looks massive without and I would like to wear it both ways. It's going back sadly. I will keep my eye for a 10 as I love it so much.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2023 15:31

Had contemplated the popplin jumpsuit. I'm not that fussed for the colours though. I do love the orange thought I would worry it is too out there for me.
Anyone go it?

neveradullmoment99 · 16/06/2023 15:32

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 14:26

Hi @Theteapotsbrokenspout is that this one?

https://www.toa.st/collections/sale/products/round-collar-stripe-cotton-tee-putty-mineral-blue

I have been eying this up as it seems lovely.

Is the blue stripe as bright as it seems in some pictures?

Thanks

This catches my eye but It would just look like a rubbish polo shirt on me.

Noeggsontoast · 16/06/2023 16:20

Yay! The delivery has just arrived. The Maeve dress in mango is a keeper, though I shall style it with a belt when worn without the green linen cardigan and without a belt if worn with the cardigan. I knew the cardigan would work as I already have it in an oatmeal colour.

The mango colour is much more to the red palette which pleased me. I had thought it looked more orangey online and it might not have suited me. I was also worried about the square neckline being too deep for me, and making me feel too exposed but it's perfect.

dudsville · 16/06/2023 16:23

Just placemarking as I had a quick read up to here! I do also wash my things on 30 and hang dry (I also iron, shocked at you @Dee1224 !), so I don't know why my olive oil is not surviving as I'd hope. Anyway I still love it. I've placed my order for the tie neck firth - I'd already sized down once, which is usual for me with toast, but I've now order a second and 3rd size down, ridiculous. Right, off to post office now with my first returns!

Ha ha this is how it looked on me.

BettinaInDenmark · 16/06/2023 17:20

Just picked up my sale parcel on the way home from work. Maybe I did go a bit overboard...
I blame it all on the slipover that was pictured with the Birch jacket; thought it would go well with the Birch set I got earlier in the year. And then it all went downhill from there 😎

dudsville · 16/06/2023 17:21

For anyone looking for a painted check sized 8 or 12, they are now winging their way back to the store. I kept the 10 and I'm going to use a little fabric from the belt to add a one inch triangle under the arm pits on each side.

I'm absoutely smitten with the landscape dress (a 12 is also winging it's way back if anyone wants to keep an eye out for that). I've realised that I can cinch the waist in ever so slighty by pulling a thread through the skirting bit, one on each side behind the pockets, if that makes sense, it would just add a few tiniy gathers and would still easily allow it off and on and keep the integrity of the look. I'm going to try this with a few of my dresses over the weekend.

Really pleased that (so far) ive only got these two dresses and the firewood cord jacket. Love them all.

dudsville · 16/06/2023 17:22

That's beautiful @BettinaInDenmark ! I'm curoius about the marl jumper you have if you get a moment to review it.

BettinaInDenmark · 16/06/2023 17:24

@dudsville It is the slipover - feels and looks nice! I will try it on later tonight. Got a bad feeling though that i might be too small for me

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 17:27

Putting my resolution into practice, I am wearing my SM nightie purchase as a sun dress/loungewear in the garden!

Dee1224 · 16/06/2023 17:28

Just realised that there is less nightie, more pup in this pic🤣

dudsville · 16/06/2023 17:30

what cute shoes you have!

dudsville · 16/06/2023 17:37

Your post made me smile @ilovecherries , I also have similar neighbours so I'm glad for you, but I'm familiar with the embarassment!
