ilovecherries Miracletoast: thanks! I might now keep it 😀as nothing is in the sale for me yet. Are any jumpsuits in the sale currently (I 😍Toast jumpsuits!)

Countmeout · 14/06/2023 14:03

I do like old stuff sometimes as I sometimes regret not having bought it previously.

I think they don’t reduce everything the first year, I think they have started to carry things forward more with some summer stuff not appearing until the winter sale or later.

Thanks @Snowyowl78 @ilovecherries @Noodle421 for the steamer info. Is it ridiculously sad to want one for my upcoming birthday?!! 😆

Not ridiculously sad at all. I totally get it !
But then a browse around a quiet Lakeland shop is pure heaven to me🕺

FufferPish · 14/06/2023 14:10

Thanks, I am actually wearing this one now as I bought it earlier in the year. It is lovely and one of my favourite pieces 😀https://www.toa.st/products/stack-check-cotton-jumpsuit-charcoal-ecru

It looks so nice on you!

Dee1224 · 14/06/2023 14:23

@Countmeout I agree that old stock gives you another chance- I am trying for the second time with the painted check dress.

dudsville · 14/06/2023 16:01

That's really nice @FufferPish ,i tried it but none of the jumpsuits fit/suit me. I do love that fabric though and have the trousers, i also had the dress but i turned it into a top!

That is lovely, it's such good quality. The dress might've been a good tunic as well. I just bought the tie waist garment dyed linen jumpsuit parchment in S and XS as it was a steal at £75 each! I might dye it aubergine (with probably white stitching) ;-)

Stoic123 · 14/06/2023 17:12

A late night addition of a Donegal jumper and a few items reordered in different sizes when I paused to read reviews means I have an inordinately high number of packages on the way.

I have been much better at returning items that aren't perfect recently so not too worried by volume- will keep the best 2-3 items (or none if I don't like enough). For some reason, most of my expensive Toast mistakes have been shop purchases. Plenty of eBay errors but they get sold on for more or less the same price.

Stoic123 · 14/06/2023 17:15

@FufferPish - you wear jumpsuits well. Good idea to dye.

Countmeout · 14/06/2023 17:23

Those jumpsuits look fantastic on you @FufferPish .

I’ve jumped and bought the Canvas Peacoat. Bit concerned it might have another reduction, however on the other hand might go out of stock. I wish they showed availability.

lordloveadog · 14/06/2023 17:55

@Stoic123 I also think I make better decisions ordering online and trying at home. More time, less excitement? Though got some very nice things in a rare visit to the Toast shop in Edinburgh last year because I tried everything instead of just stuff I was pretty sure could work.

Oooh that's lovely @FufferPish
How does it come up sizewise?
Toast are recommending a small - I'm a RL 12 .

Stoic123 · 14/06/2023 18:13

@Countmeout - I've gone for the Peacoat too. I tried it in store and quite liked it but thought it needed a proper trying on at home with all my favourite trousers. I'll have to really love it to keep it or it's the sort of thing that will languish at the back of my wardrobe.

dudsville · 14/06/2023 18:37

I've also gone back in to read reviews and try other sizes. I've also decided that a few things i ordered were ridiculous choices so that's a waste of everyone's time! Still, love a sale!

Snowyowl78 · 14/06/2023 18:56

@FufferPish i think that parchment one is the same as the navy one you were wearing? I have the navy one in a medium and I thought it was a little bit big but I also tried the small and it was definitely too small across the back. I haven’t worn it yet as it got boiling after I bought it! I don’t remember ever seeing the parchment before!

Snowyowl78 · 14/06/2023 18:57

They don’t discount socks much do they!! I would buy lots if they were a smidge cheaper

RockaLock · 14/06/2023 19:25

Oh bother.

The"early sale access" email has just arrived in my inbox, and there is a ton of stuff that is on my wishlist. This could be expensive!

RockaLock · 14/06/2023 19:41

If you've bought stuff with the "new sizing", do you find the recommended size comes up big, and that actually you need to take your "old" toast size?

I'm just trying to work out which size dress to buy, or whether I need to get 2 sizes and send one back Grin

DarlingCoffee · 14/06/2023 19:50

I just got early access to the sale on an email from Toast!

Saurus72 · 14/06/2023 19:56

@RockaLock I bought a dress last week with the ‘new sizing’ but there was literally no change at all to the old sizing! Luckily I had my suspicions when I ordered so I also ordered my usual Toast size which was good.

FufferPish · 14/06/2023 19:58

Alpacasoft the jumpsuit in 10 is really quite roomy, and I think it would easily fit a 12. The drawstring design is very adaptable!

FufferPish · 14/06/2023 19:59

Snowyowl78 it's the same as the navy one, so the plan is to try the parchment in small and extra small, keep one and dye it, and possibly return the blue one as it is a bit big on me. It is so lovely and soft though!
