@Snowyowl78 I see some of the reviews say it’s on the long side. Pls can I ask how tall you are. I’m 5ft 7/8

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 14/06/2023 09:37

Two out of my three orders have been dispatched, the other order has something which is now out of stock, I suspect I won’t be getting that.

Snowyowl78 · 14/06/2023 09:55

Tiny! 5’3, I had a seamstress take it up by 5 inches and now it’s perfect. So it will probably look the same on you as it does on me now. I also tried the dhal, weirdly it was slightly tighter across the chest, and I didn’t want to up a size as it would be too big all over.

ScottishMouse · 14/06/2023 10:01

Thanks @Snowyowl78 @ilovecherries @Noodle421 for the steamer info. Is it ridiculously sad to want one for my upcoming birthday?!! 😆

lordloveadog · 14/06/2023 10:02

Can I put in a word for the Alder Check Organic Seersucker Dress which I bought in a sale last year and have really enjoyed wearing? It's generous, so size down if you sometimes need to. But it works with a substantial bust, which by no means all the summer dresses do.

Our Alder Check Organic Seersucker Dress is crafted from lightweight organic checked cotton seersucker. It has stitched pleats, side pockets and corozo buttons.

A few new items have appeared today - no Pind 🙃

Dee1224 · 14/06/2023 10:05

Pond 🤣

Dee1224 · 14/06/2023 10:06

@lordloveadog - it looks lovely- how does it wash? I have bad memories of seersucker shrinking back in the day!

lordloveadog · 14/06/2023 10:26

Has washed fine and minimum ironing! I bought it as a wildcard to try because I didn't really think the colours or shape would suit me.

Stoic123 · 14/06/2023 10:41

@Snowyowl78 - I've ordered the Peacoat in a small. Tried it in shop and it was plenty big (I'm a high street 12 top/14 bottom).

Countmeout · 14/06/2023 10:53

I have it too, @lordloveadog in fact wearing it today. Amazingly successful summer dress for me. Cool and airy.

dudsville · 14/06/2023 11:05

The red check trousers arrived and are heading straight back. They are a great weight for summer, but long in the crotch as @Dee1224 said night happen, but mostly I'm shocked at the difference in colour between the site and reality. I took this pic in the bold sunlight... it won't let me upload, suffice to say its not the same.

Dee1224 · 14/06/2023 11:42

Sorry they didn’t work out @dudsville 🙃

FufferPish · 14/06/2023 12:03

I was kindred last year but I seem to have lost that privilege this year... Here's my jumpsuit, I think it a bit too big unfortunately (new sizing my arse)

Oh that's nice, fufferpish! Looks excellent for spring-summer-early autumn.

Thanks! But now I'm thinking to see if anything like that will be in the sales (but I guess not). Let's hope the sales open soon for the non-kindred!

faustina · 14/06/2023 12:49

@dudsville - do you mean the checked trousers are quite a lot more muted in colour? I think I took a pic of them in store for someone on here when they first arrived last Autumn {?} and posted it on the thread

Both my orders have now dispatched with nothing missing - phew!

Dee1224 · 14/06/2023 12:56

Hi,

I know that a few more things have been reduced since the sale went live to Kindred, but do all you more experienced Toasties think that much more will be added when the sale is opened up to everyone?

Despite my over-excited purchasing yesterday, (which I am putting down to heat exhaustion), in the cold light of a cooler day I must admit to being a bit disappointed- there is very little homeware, little nightwear, (probably just as well🤣), and most seems recycled from old sales.

What do you all think?

faustina · 14/06/2023 13:00

They do add things, and they also do further reductions @Dee1224 - I don't think it usually happens when the pre-sale access ends though - maybe a bit later? There were quite a few gowns yesterday - I'm not sure if you saw them? Maybe they sold out

ScottishMouse · 14/06/2023 13:00

@Dee1224 I have an email from June 23rd last year saying new styles added to sale. So my guess is they will add more, but maybe not for a week or two yet.
Then there was a “Fading summer sale” mid September, where I imagine the summer pieces that had not been in the summer sale weee discounted.

FufferPish · 14/06/2023 12:03

I was kindred last year but I seem to have lost that privilege this year... Here's my jumpsuit, I think it a bit too big unfortunately (new sizing my arse)

I think it looks fabulous on you.

MiracleToast · 14/06/2023 13:05

@FufferPish that is absolutely gorgeous!

Dee1224 · 14/06/2023 13:09

Ah yes - that makes sense. I saw a few gowns but I was hoping for more Dhuggies/nighties/pjs, but just as well they weren’t there as I can’t have any more!

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 14/06/2023 13:36

That looks lovely on you @FufferPish .

My last order has dispatched, nothing missing in the end. Hopefully the postman will deliver by the weekend so I start my returns on Monday 😁.
