Amalia's dress is rather nice too - it looks like it's been designed for the infill piece on her top chest to be removed and a more conventional western-style dress created.

Amalia is so like her dad, isn't she? The deep red is lovely and I didn't realise that her jewellery featured rubies. Elegant and glamorous all round.

CPM's also worn Kate's evening JP gown in the same colour and I think it suits her better.

Agree re:40s feel of the slim part of the wedding dress. Think I said that upthread somewhere too.

I’ve just been skipping through the full YouTube video of the day (7 hours you guys, take snacks). It was lovely to see all the beautiful dresses in motion. The brides dress looked stunning from the back when she was walking, although the dress wrangling princesses were really having to work hard to keep it under control through all those gardens! There was an older lady with a bright sea green dress and the most amazing silver bouffant hair - no idea who she was but she was sitting at the front so clearly quite important and she looked fab. And it was so sweet, the way Hussain‘s face lit up when Rajwa made her entrance 😊 Definitely a few tears being blinked away here and there, and I love a good ululate as well.

I did find the protocol fascinating too, working out who was curtsying and who wasn’t, when Abdullah and Rania were welcoming all the guests. It seems that the curtesy is a bit of a euro thing as all the guests who looked to be more just went right in with the handshakes and the air kisses, which I thought was nice to see. The protocol of who say where and arrived when must have required one hell of a spreadsheet…!
