Louis toasting marshmallows with mummy and Charlotte so sweet. I wonder if Kate gets broody for another one. The children are so lovely

I got Garrard ads this morning but am now getting Matalan's women's shoes - nowhere near as stylish but definitely more my price range!

LadyEloise1 · 08/05/2023 15:13

Speaking of the Kents - Lady Helen Taylor - didn't she used to be a brand ambassador for Armani ?
Obviously not any more judging by her Dior embellished shoes at the Coronation.

For me Leti stood out.
As did Marie Chantal.
I was a tad disappointed with Max's outfit. She is so often spectacular.

Whoever said Sophie's lenses must have been annoying her is probably spot on. I remember how annoying mine could be. Getting "lost" for days somehow in my eye and having to go to the eye hospital to be checked.
Thank goodness for laser eye surgery. Smile

KillingMeDeftly · 08/05/2023 15:37

Yes, she was an Armani ambassador back in the day. I really hate the Dior Joe Boxer branding - Dr Biden had the same shoes as the pre-coronation reception. It just seems worlds away from what Dior should be!

Afternoon, everyone! Waves to friends old and new. I'm glad I started the thread before I went out to Sparkies, it's fair filling up! 👋👋👋

Oh, @ArcaneWireless , Gloucester Cathedral looks fabulous. I love cathedrals. I love mooching round them, makes me as happy as a royal in Garrard's 😉

Lovely photos from the Help Out. It looks as if the children enjoyed themselves, and Louis got to take part, which is nice.

ApolloandDaphne · 08/05/2023 16:19

I know nothing about fashion or style but the last thread was so lovely that i want to continue seeing the beautiful clothes!

It is worth a visit Maireas if you are ever down that way.

It took my breath away. 😊. And gave me a little bit of inner peace. A wondrous thing.

Maireas · 08/05/2023 16:29

That's why I love cathedrals. So peaceful.

Checking in

Long time lurked and name changer. Just seen a video on Insta posted by Anita Rani and thought it worth a share after we all admired her dress on The Mall 😍

Can’t beat a well worn in pair of DMs

".....it just seems worlds away from what Dior should be..."

I agree @KillingMeDeftly

Our neighbourhood did a lovely jubilee event on a green in front of their houses down a cul de sac so safe for children. Everyone brought food and drink they had music and games a quiz. Was a great success. They repeated it yesterday. Only a third attended. People told them they weren't interested.

I wondered if the queen held a special place in the hearts of people across generations whereas the king has yet to achieve that

I found the coronation was more spiritual than I expected. I haven't been a regular churchgoer for many years but the responses came to my lips easily.

The weather hasn't helped either.

There were so many lovely outfits I couldn't pick one

ArcaneWireless · 08/05/2023 17:18

Anita looked amazing.

I’m glad that she had comfy feet.

Maireas · 08/05/2023 17:23

It was very spiritual, @justasking111 , and you could see how deeply Charles was feeling it.

Official coronation portraits and you can see the detail of Kate's and Sophie's dresses.

JADS · 08/05/2023 18:27

Normally Camilla nails a big sparkly headpiece, but the crown just looks massive and uncomfortable.

There was a piece on the news about the Waleses at the Big help out. Louis was perfectly behaved and there were a couple of young cubs saying what an awesome little kid he was. Loved all their casual looks.

Wetdogloveshubert · 08/05/2023 18:35

Finally a look at the dresses! I love this portrait.

Sorry @KillingMeDeftly, my thread clearly didn't update properly before I posted.

Maireas · 08/05/2023 18:37

Great pictures. Those crowns are heavy. I bet they both had sore necks!

Look at Anne. 😍

Everyone looks happy and it is a lovely photograph.

ArcaneWireless · 08/05/2023 18:39

Definitely one for the sideboard as my Nan would say. ☺️
