I think it's just about who's pally with the Jordanians. Remember that the Middletons lived in Jordan?
I think others probably have business or similar links.

They did live in Jordan but probably not mixing in the same circles at that point . They do seem to have a great affection for the country.

I thought maybe out of consideration to their links to the country they were invited.

I assumed that the Jordanian Royal family met the Middletons after William and Kate were married (Rania and Abdullah didn’t attend their wedding which was seen at the time as a bit of a surprise, as they were known to be close generally to the Windsors, and had previously stayed with QEII at Windsor, plus the Sandhurst connection). It wouldn’t be that surprising if they got on personally with the Middletons (who may have gone back to Jordan on holidays since 2011, as we know William and Kate have done) and so they were invited on their own account.

(William and Kate were clearly not obligation invites to the wedding - they spent quite a long time chatting to Rania and Abdullah when they arrived, William warmly hugged the groom in the receiving line, they were pretty much the only foreign royals featured in the official highlights reel)

Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and Prince Sebastien of Luxembourg were there. Both were seen in the receiving line for the evening reception, although they didn’t attend the ceremony itself.

I was a bit surprised at the entire Middleton clan being invited. William and Kate obviously would be there as royal reps but I doubt Mike and Carole moved in royal circles for the 2 years they were there in the 80s!

I mean Pip is married now to Johnny Billionaire so they do move in high circles.

Mother of the bride looked very elegant. I wasn't keen on Crown Princess Mary's dress I don't think the one shoulder look always works. I was not keen on the bride's dress but I believe she studied architecture so I wonder if she is drawn to a sort of sculptured/clean lines look.

I am not sure but there are photos of four of them Alia (daughter of King Hussein's first wife), the twins Zein and Aisha (daugher of Abdullah's mother Hussein's second wife Princess Muna (formerly Antoinette Gardner of the UK), and Raiyah, Queen Noor's daughter.

The youngest prince from Luxembourg was there, I believe he's a friend of the groom from Sandhurst. Pavlos from Greece was there too (no Marie Chantal this time).

Ah I just saw a pic of Zein - wearing the same caped Safiyya dress as CPV, albeit in deep red.

I wonder if these Royal women pack several outfits just in case seone wears similar or duplicate. How would you know though unless there's a WhatsApp group! Hey ladies what are you wearing to the Jordanian wedding?!!
