How would you fix this face?

Throwaway account as totally outing myself with a photo.

I'm almost 34, soon to be going back to work after mat leave and frankly I look haggard. I've never liked my appearance but it's at an all time low.

I'll be joining a new team, new people, & want to make a good first impression.

I've just bought new skincare (the new No7 stuff) & having my hair professionally cut & coloured next week (although am as yet undecided on a fringe or not...) but the rest of my face needs help.

If you had a month and could scrounge up a few hundred pounds to throw at it, how would you fix this?

Things I've considered (but never had);
Professional tooth whitening? (I've always had these odd white lines on my front teeth, will that make them worse?)
Lash extensions?
Lip filler? (Can this help disguise a wonky smile?)
Something else?

How would you fix this face?

You look lovely honestly. I don't think you have a wonky smile.

I can't see your teeth but if you think they're aren't white enough speak to your dentist- just be aware that whitening treatments can cause increased sensitivity as I found.

CatherinedeBourgh · 06/05/2023 20:55

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your face. If you want to make a good impression at work, wear some very natural style make up (I don't know why, but it always makes people feel you look more 'polished'), be polite and engaging and don't obsess about they way you look.

dudsville · 06/05/2023 20:55

You are really, really not seeing yourself objectively here. You look great.

ArianahX · 06/05/2023 20:56

Sorry meant to say you absolutely do not look haggard even if you feel that way.

TomatoSandwiches · 06/05/2023 20:56

You have great skin overall, I'd invest in a good retinol night cream, niacinamide for darker spots, stable vitamin C serum for morning, finish with a decent sunscreen.

The only other thing is your brows, they could do with shaping and clearning up.

I'd try to get a side 70s sort of style fringe, definitely not a block cut.

You have wonderful hair, gorgeous colour, I wouldn't change that too much.

Doggymummar · 06/05/2023 20:57

Nothing wrong with you!

ThePoshUns · 06/05/2023 20:57

Nothing wrong with your face at all
You have lovely skin and nice features.
I think a haircut is a good idea to make you look more ' together' .
Maybe go to one of the make up counters if you want some make up advice?

JamSandle · 06/05/2023 20:57

I think you look lovely. Really love skin especially. Eat well, drink water, exercise, do all the usual. And maybe just play around and have fun with clothes, makeup, hair for a fun change. You don't look haggard AT ALL!

Icepinkeskimo · 06/05/2023 20:58

Nothing! You have a beautiful face, if you need a boost then book an appointment with a really good make up artist. I did this, as I found I was l still doing my “work makeup” exactly the same as I was 10 years ago. I booked in at Fenwicks on Bond Street, and the lady there completely transformed me. Not OTT just fresher and natural, it really put a skip in my step.

ThisIsMySexName · 06/05/2023 20:58

I would spend the money on some therapy instead OP😂😂
You do not look haggard you look great. I especially love the shape of your face, your eyes and eyebrows and your mouth. DO NOT mess with your lovely mouth!

of course we all have shit days and it’s okay to feel a bit rubbish sometimes. Some nice new clothes and a haircut can cheer me up when I’m having a day like days.
but really I think your post is a bit offensive to people who are genuinely haggard😂

AssertiveGertrude · 06/05/2023 20:58

Oh you look amazing and all I would say is believe in yourself ! It’s so hard after being isolated at home and you lose confidence. Once you get your hair done (not saying you need to) you will feel great

Martinisarebetterdirty · 06/05/2023 20:58

You look great, you don’t need to do anything at all.

Zoraflora · 06/05/2023 20:58

Your do not look haggard!! You look very fresh faced and younger than 34.

Changingplace · 06/05/2023 20:59

You honestly look great, you’ve got lovely clear skin & great eyebrows that frame your face :)

I think you’ll look absolutely fab for work, don’t knock yourself!

DameDoom · 06/05/2023 20:59

You have a lovely, youthful, open face, great skin and really good brows. Is your hair thick and wavy? How about a wash and go tousled bob? Would look ace, but you really do look great just the way you are.

How would you fix this face?
featheryfancy · 06/05/2023 20:59

I think you're being very harsh on yourself. You've got lovely eyes and skin especially.

If you want a bit of a refresh for a confidence boost, alls I'd say is get your brows shaped and a hair cut.

Good luck in your new team Flowers

InceyWinceySpidy · 06/05/2023 21:00

Brows.

A good brow wax/shape will really work wonders.

Your skin is great. You are absolutely not haggard.

What's your hair like?

InceyWinceySpidy · 06/05/2023 21:00

Lol @featheryfancy crosspost

Thank you. I should have asked at my last appointment; I'll give the a ring next week though. I was a bit worried about the sensitivity issue - did it subside after a while?

SirChenjins · 06/05/2023 21:00

Goodness OP - you look great. Please put the idea that you’re haggard out of your mind (along with any thoughts of fillers)

Caramac555 · 06/05/2023 21:01

You look fine.

I would take a decent multivitamin, up your water intake and get your eyebrows tidied.

Honestly, that's all. Save your money.

HuntingoftheSnark · 06/05/2023 21:01

Agree with everyone else. You look lovely - especially the shape of your lips and mouth - you truthfully don't need filler! You have nice, regular features and lovely eyes and skin. Believe in yourself.

Arewehumanorarewecupboards · 06/05/2023 21:01

Bloody hell, if you are haggard I don’t know what I am! You are beautiful, proper English rose!
Do not touch those brows or lips. They are great as they are.
Can we see a hair down photo? What colour/cut are you thinking?

Congratulations on the new job!

Haveallthesongsbeenwritten · 06/05/2023 21:02

You look great, i think you’d look good with a bob.
no need for Fillers, get yourself some good skincare, some lovely masks to do at home.

drumandthebass · 06/05/2023 21:02

Another one to say you look lovely. Maybe a bit of light foundation and mascara, but honestly, you look fresh faced and not at all haggard.

Don't go down that road
