Is this top acceptable for the office?

I'm 34D so there would definitely be some cleavage - I'm very unbothered by that sort of thing, but still want to be taken seriously https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.1142598002.html

Sweetheart-neck top - Black - Ladies | H&M GB

I think fine, depends what you wear it with.

actually really like the top in general might need to purchase one 😄

IcedBananas · 08/04/2023 22:16

it depends on how low cut it is on you but based on the pic and that model, yes, I think that would be fine in most places I’ve worked.

RudsyFarmer · 08/04/2023 22:19

I would be bursting out all over with that top. So personally no. If you have a small bust I would say yes.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/04/2023 22:20

No, but it's lovely for a going out top imo.

LadyGodiva4 · 08/04/2023 22:22

I work in at a fairly liberal media related company (but not art school level in terms of office dress!) if that helps

I would like to try that on OP thanks for the link

Im 30 F or G btw and might wear to the office with wide leg trousers

Nothingbuttheglory · 08/04/2023 22:36

I think if you are sitting down then anyone standing up would have quite the view, up to you if that's an issue.

Timeforchangeithink · 08/04/2023 22:37

It wouldn't look professional in our office

Snowjokes · 08/04/2023 22:40

For my reasonably casual office I’d say not suitable if you’ve got ample cleavage, ok if you were flat chested.

Snooks1971 · 08/04/2023 22:41

Moot point. Out of stock 😀

Haha I've already got it for non-work purposes, just wondering how versatile it can be

If you are busty then probably not suitable for the office. If you are smaller chested and the V is not too low on you then you might just get away with it.

SRS29 · 08/04/2023 23:01

Nope, unprofessional, 'look at me' vibes .....eerrggghh

Whataretheodds · 08/04/2023 23:11

Stating the obvious, but it depends how booby it is on you.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 08/04/2023 23:15

I don’t think that’s a top for work personally

Verite1 · 08/04/2023 23:16

It looks fine on the model but it all depends how much cleavage it shows. Would be far too much on me (30G)!

NeverDropYourMooncup · 08/04/2023 23:19

It's a nice top and with your figure, I think it must look lovely, but I don't think cleavage is suitable for a workplace.

MorrisZapp · 08/04/2023 23:28

Nice top but not really office wear.

RightWhereINeedToBe · 08/04/2023 23:33

I would wear it to work but wide legged black trousers.

blueshoes · 08/04/2023 23:33

No. It is unprofessional. I don't want to see cleavage at work.

Cicily · 08/04/2023 23:34

No

blueshoes · 08/04/2023 23:34

Maybe if you wear a small scarf to break up the expanse of flesh.

Paperexcelandpens · 08/04/2023 23:35

I've got that top for work and I'm an F cup.

What's your office's general dresscode like?

I work in Finance so we're all professionals. Some people dress smart others casual. Some days I go in in jeans, hoodie and trainers and other days blazer, shirt and trousers.
