Well, we're in the run up to C day, now. Thanks to @chesterelly for the thread title suggestion 😊

Their woo is not for me, but they are a very good looking couple!

Meanwhile William and Kate apparently spent the night in a local B&B and have today visited Aberfan to visit the memorial and meet some of the locals. Kate’s outfit is 100% repeated - a nice Prince of Wales check Zara dress. I was kind of heartened to see that her hair looks a bit more “normal person” hair when she presumably hasn’t had a professional blow dry this morning!

Another who loves the floaty frock - not the woo though. Just the oooooo.

I’d have absolutely been in that pool and that frock would have been more floaty than intended.

There's a hint of cabin crew in Kate's ensemble and that's not a dig at Carole! I think it's the tie neck of the dress. Very BA!

I really don't like Catherine's dress today, it's just so dull. I don't think she suits the 'buttoned up' look at all unless it has something fun about it too.

I agree that Kate's look is rather a corporate Happy Smiling Bank Clerk one! But it's fine if a little boring, for a working day. Kate's lovely smile always wins her extra points from me!

Leti usually manages to be very stylish yet still business like.

I think she has got it about right. Just a quiet outfit.

Kate's dress isn't a favourite for me but appropriate for a more sombre engagement. I love the leek brooch and the fact there are several variations of it worn by different members of the RF.

I'm not saying she needed fun with today's outfit, just that I don't think she suits this style. To me as all Margaret Thatcher cosplay and I'm never going to like that.

Yes, I agree with everyone. It's a suitable outfit for visiting that memorial. Heartbreaking. I can still remember my Mum crying about it.

Her hair does look more normal today!

I was a twinkle in an eye for Aberfan maireas It was always remembered with a candle by my Nan and Great Granny.

I like that she was just Kate today with katedonehair. It seemed right.

Kate's hair looks to have auburn lowlights today.

I was 6, when I got home with my four siblings we found Mum weeping on the sofa. It's strange how some things stick with you, I remember it so clearly.

On a more cheerful note, I've just seen pictures of that toddler grabbing Kate's handbag! So cute.

Love also that she also doesn’t seem to care that he might be away to have a cheeky gnash of it 😊

I am not a huge fan of that dress but I think it was right fur today with the black coat and she looked good! My favourite part of the whole outfit was that handbag 😆
