Sounds like a lovely birthday present @MiracleToast Smile

dudsville · 02/06/2023 23:48

That sounds perfect and very chic @MiracleToast , happy birthday!!!

Noeggsontoast · 03/06/2023 08:44

@MiracleToast glad to hear your purchases were perfect. Enjoy your day!

Stravaig · 03/06/2023 12:55

@MiracleToast You sound wonderfully chic!

dudsville · 03/06/2023 15:26

We had company overnight but I've been struggling with a bloated stomach, no idea why, so last night i wore the french blue check shirt dress and today I've swanned around in this - toast call it a double cotton night dress. I think it's the perfect item for getting up and making breakfast and teas and coffees and eating brunch on the patio.

I love that nightie/dress @dudsville. I am jealous of those it suits, as sadly it did nothing for me so had to go back 🙃My sister has just bought the similar but lighter weight strappy version which toast are calling loungewear. It looks good on her as she has a different body shape and is currently doing summer dress duty whilst she is on holiday!

Dee1224 · 03/06/2023 21:22

I am counting down to the sale and have an embarrassing number of items in my saved list!

Meanwhile, I am entertaining myself whilst waiting for the sale by buying random Toast items on eBay. So far I have scored a lovely mid weight elbow length stripy tee with pockets and a pair of socks! Yesterday a stripy cotton jersey knee length dress arrived, (which I had wrongly thought was a tunic!) Sadly I bid on the wrong item, (there were two identical ones on eBay from different sellers), and mine had a much much higher start price. The other went for the princely sum of £1.74 or thereabouts. However, I shouldn’t grumble as my dh actually said, ‘Oh, I like that!’ when I tried it on!

Am I right in thinking we are under two weeks away from sale time, or thereabouts?

dudsville · 04/06/2023 08:04

Morning @Dee1224, sounds like your having fun on ebay! I'm looking at June 15th for the sale, but they caught us out last time!

dudsville · 04/06/2023 08:07

I just checked, the march sale was a week later than was expected.

Noeggsontoast · 04/06/2023 08:37

@dudsville I have that same dhuggie/nightdress - different fabric and colour way. Agree it's fabulous for lounging on warm sunny days and leisurely breakfasts in the garden. I've not worn it yet this season but it will be coming out shortly.

It was glorious with us yesterday. Wore the new coral embroidered top with a Toast poplin cobalt blue wrap skirt, which makes another lovely summer combo. The blue in the top is a perfect match to the skirt.

Heading to the forest shortly for a good long walk with the hairy ones (aka dogs) before it starts to get too warm, then shall pootle in the garden.

If the sale is delayed I shall miss it due to hols. Mindst you that would be a good thing. Last weekend we went to Woodbridge to Uniform Research who stock Toast. DH bought a few things but I saw an Italian, ruinously expensive, timeless, amazingly cut, glorious colour dress in another nearby shop which DH said I had to have. He's such an enabler 😂

dudsville · 04/06/2023 09:07

Ooh, i wish i could go shopping with my dh, that sounds fun @Noeggsontoast !

I do love these these little dresses. I've never bought a dhuggie but might ask for one for my birthday.

Snowyowl78 · 04/06/2023 09:58

Last year there was a ‘preview’ on the 14th June.
im a bit sad because I washed my jersey v neck dress and it seems to have shrunk a bit and the colours faded a fair bit. Odd because I’ve already washed it a few times. I wonder if I should attempt to re-dye it….

dudsville · 04/06/2023 10:51

Also, I think maybe the march sale was due to occur (according to our tea leaf reading!) around the time of the queen's death, so they might have delayed for that reason. Come on June 15th! And hopefully we'll be on a lovely new thread before then so that we don't miss any sale chat!

dudsville · 04/06/2023 11:31

Oh no @Snowyowl78 , what's the fabric?

MaroonedOnADesertIsland · 04/06/2023 12:13

I am also looking forward to the sale, especially as I have been quite restrained in the last few. Think they did used to have more small sales of old items, which I liked. I have my eye on a number of pairs of trousers so hoping to do a big order to see what takes my fancy. What is on everyone else's wish list?

It was so frustrating when the sale was 'late' last time as I was mentally prepped for it! Hope they don't keep us waiting this time.

Just to be pedantic though, @dudsville the Queen died in September!

Happy Sunday all.

dudsville · 04/06/2023 12:31

Not pedantic at all, how funny, i have never had a good sense of time!

dudsville · 04/06/2023 12:38

I also like seeing old stock and given that the things i want are always 50/50 whether they make it into a sale i just enjoying seeing what's there. That said, I'm wanting some of the comfier elasticated waist trousers and some tops, but nothing more specific i have ordered a few pairs just to check for sizing.

Dee1224 · 04/06/2023 16:26

I have just used vanish on a stain on my Koka Dhuggie and it has brought the colour out 🙃I am feeling ridiculously annoyed about it🤣

MiracleToast · 04/06/2023 17:21

Happy Sunday Toasties—please enjoy my photo of my mums vintage toast bbq!
