Here we are again, and this time looking forward to the warmer weather , putting away our comfy woolies ( and new season's dresses).

@Snowyowl78 I think those linen tees were always overpriced (maybe 5 or ten pounds less?). Did you get on ok with the ones you have? Because all my linen tees from Toast shrank hugely after washing (at 30 and not tumble drying)

@faustina yeah I checked and they were both £55. They have shrank, but I am not that bothered because I bought them in a Large anyway so they are still fine for me. I also got a bit sick of washing them on a gentle cycle so now I just Chuck them in with everything else so probably partly my fault. They are a bit short now, they are still my go- to for T-shirts tho. Is a bit rubbish that yours all shrank on 30!

I think mine was a large too - it's now a very short but wide tee which I wear in the summer - and then I had a stripy linen one which I sold on Ebay because it wasn't earning its place in my wardrobe

honestly, who's got time to faff around with t-shirts needing special washing treatment?

@faustina haha yes that’s what mine are like, short and wide. Still works for a messy tuck into trousers which is what I normally do. When I first get Toast stuff I wash it very very carefully, then I get bored and just bung them in as normal! I was considering the white one to wear under the black jersey dress, but £70 plain white tshirt is ridiculous.

I had this and needed to sell it. It's completely see through!

Re washing, i accidentally put my cos grey wool jumper in a normal wash, but it was 30 for an hr. It came out suitable for a baby, and also shed all over the rest of the wash. It was my home go to, slipped on over pjs easily, a colour that went with everything. I'll miss it, but i have a too big jumper from toast that I'll use instead as my home jumper.

I got it in the john lewis sale years ago. Beautiful texture and stumnning white but I'm sallow and nothing worked under it. It was slubby and it just looked weird when I put it on with my dk8n showing through.

I got some lovely 100% linen tshirts from JL last week.
£29 really nice weight.
Mine are the dropped shoulder, I got pink and khaki.
They also do v necks.
I always wear a cami underneath any way

Oh heck I think I’ve lost my new socks ! I took them off the other day to go out, now I can’t find them, I’d only had them on 10 mins too .. worst thing is we had a friend staying for a couple of nights before he jetted off to India for 6ths ! I’m so thinking he’s picked them up by mistake..

Oh no @Firesideknitting ! I once tried on a new pair of toast gloves with another shop's coat i was considering, returned the coat and didn't realise until ages later that I'd sent back the damn gloves. Hope your socks have just rolled under something or nestled into an awkward spot! Are they muted or an easy to spot colour?

Well, sad news, I've got the week off at home and I was swapping out winter for summer stuff (yes it's cold here too, jumpers and cords are still easily accessible!), and it turns out i don't really have room for any new clothes! The next big sale will be hard on me!

Ah yes sad times @dudsville ! I have a similar situation with Toast dresses - I have a lot now for all seasons so very difficult to justify anything new. I’m now at a point where I’ll be fine just adding in 2-3 new dresses for SS and AW. That sounds quite a lot but they’re what I wear 90% of the time. The 2 I bought from Toast last AW were nice, but not necessary at all. It’s a nice but weird realisation that buying for the sake of buying just isn’t a thing.

Since my purchase of a round collared tee in the sale, I am wanting another. I like this one:

However, I draw the line at paying £95 for a tee-shirt! It would have to be bulletproof, flameproof and make me look like an irl size 8 for me to pay that sort of money.

What do other people think? I know Toast tees are lovely, but there seems to have been a big jump from between £50-65 for a tee to nearly a hundred quid recently. I also like this one but ditto:

The boatneck stripy is similar to the one I got at SM last week for rather less. Mine is in a mustard/brown colour way - pistachio is the stock name. (I have a bit of a thing for mustardy colour ways, hence my Pond dress obsession!)
