Toasties:- Spring frocks and socks?

Here we are again, and this time looking forward to the warmer weather , putting away our comfy woolies ( and new season's dresses).

I had the small and the medium and much prefered the small. There seems a size difference with the navy. Ive not ordered yet but @Laska2Meryls has said [ and she has them] that the navy ones in a medium are like the small in the funugreek.

I got my mug today too as I ordered a consolation pair of trousers (I needed a lot of consolation so passed on socks) as I am so disappointed there’s not yet a summery dress I want to buy. I ordered the lotus leaf ones as they were on my radar and I saw they were in danger of being sold out. Perfect as a holiday breakfast trouser. And as usual with Toast the material is not a flat cotton but slightly textured like linen.
Thankfully the pattern placement is ok.

I received my Franca Indigo twill dress today and it’s beautiful. I took my normal ( ie long standing) Toast size and it fits perfectly. Did not expect it to be such a winner ! Soft yet substantial fabric, neckline not to boat like, flattering cut .

@Gonegrey31 I saw that one in store and I could tell it would be a flattering dress even on the hanger. Definitely not too boat-like a neckline.

I'm enjoying the sample plum check dress from@Snowyowl78 paired with the chalk pascals today. Feels springy! I have to get used to light coloured footwear though, the white trainer look never worked for me, so this detour feels a little "Look at my feet!"!😂

So for those wanting to see inside of ikat jacket and ties, it’s a gorgeous mustard cotton inside, with a gathered cuff sleeve, there’s no quilting to this jacket, depending how it wears I may put some knots in at places to keep lining in place, it’s simply beautiful, seeing the print in person makes me definitely want the skirt too…

@Firesideknitting thanks for the pics! Have you bought it? Do you think it works worn open as well as tied? All the website pics has it tied for some reason, I’d like to wear it casually thrown on with my hands in the pockets. I see you mention keeping the lining in place- is it not already attached properly? Sorry if I have misinterpreted!

What's the sozing like? Ie what non Toast size are you and what size is jacket... ? If you don't mind all the questions

Please don’t worry, I’d wear it open with trousers and a light top under, it’s lined, but just turned and top stitched, unlike a quilted jacket that would have the layers sewn together, I may add some very small stitches to hold the lining in place when taking it off, it’s deflated beautifully made and well worth the spend, sizing wise, I’m a small 14/large 12, I bought the lg/xl, I like clothes to flow rather than hug, so it’s nice and loose fitting without looking too big ..

Ina 12-14, and I bought the large/X-Large ..

I definitely plan to buy the skirt to try. Now v tempted by the jacket too... would they be good together? No photo showing them together!

I’m planning on getting the skirt, but I’m not sure if I’d wear them together… thing is with toast, everything looks incredible in person

Hi @Countmeout -are the Lotus trousers true to size? I have been eying them up for ages but was hoping to wait for the sale, but your post about them selling out prompted me to try to get them. Unfortunately they were sold out in all sizes when I went to buy 🙃.

Today a pair in Small reappeared on the site in the early hours, and I have bought them. However I suspect they will be too small as I am a good size 12 in high street clothes.

I have also ordered the cross back linen jumpsuit in black in Medium. I tried the Small in-store as it was the only one in stock. Looked great on the legs and chest but too tight around the waist. I will be interested to know how the Medium fits. Does anyone have this jumpsuit already? If so, how do you wear it?

Hi @Dee1224 . I would say true to Toast size. I ordered xs as I usually do in Toast . I have to confess I have returned them as I struggled to find enough tops I was happy with to go with them and I felt I wouldn’t get enough wear out of them. I actually preferred the culottes I have which are similar weight and a bit shorter.
