Italian summer wedding guest dress: yes or no?

I am attending a wedding in Italy in July. The wedding and reception will be held in a villa's garden, so no church. Dress code is "chic garden party". Needless to say, it will be very hot!

I have my eyes on this particular dress, I love the back and the shade of green. Do you think it could work? Do you like it? Not sure about the shoes yet, maybe something gold? Thanks for your advice!

I absolutely love the original green silk one, the linen one is utterly gorgeous too.

In fairness the one Italian wedding I've been to was far more picturesque and glamorous than any other I've been to including both of my own.

It's an evening wedding, in Italy, so a degree of glamour will be expected. The original plain green dress is perfect, the floral linen version is far too day-time.

Far too revealing and attention seeking for a wedding even if it is evening. Also will not be forgiving re sweat patches. If you have the figure to wear this, you are spoilt for choice for more suitable alternatives.
