Good for Halloween.

Fine for fancy dress

I can't envisage an occasion this would work for tbh. Unless you're a goth?

Was thinking for a fancy wedding abroad

Not for a wedding, OP. What kind of things do you like? Is the wedding in a hot country? Maybe we can give you some advice :)

Black is acceptable for lots of weddings.

However, from the pictures you've posted it's hard to tell who that dress would flatter.

I would have it taken in by a tailor and be more fitted. The other guest I know is wearing a very fancy gown.

Are you more comfortable in dark colours? If it's in the med I'd go for something a bit brighter. However, a dark green could work too.

It wouldn't be my choice for a wedding abroad. The colour some might not think suitable. Black is for funerals etc.

I chose black so that I can wear it again for another occasion with my husband???

Unless it’s black tie I think you need colour. You can still wear something long and darkish if you are more comfortable

Only for Halloween or a goth party. Those ruffs are pretty 1988 cheap end of the high at.

I am not saying you couldn’t wear black, but it is an unusual choice for a wedding in the Med.

How about this if you’re looking for long and lacy? It comes in lots of colours - I picked teal because it suits everyone but there’s lots to choose from.

Black for weddings is fine, but what is the dress code for this one? I think that’s a slightly uneasy mash up of ‘Former Goth Goes to Rotarians’ Club annual dinner’.

Is it the colour, or the style that you like in your dress? This one from mint velvet is dark but is more what I imagine for a wedding in the med

Navy could work, and is also versatile for another occasion. You could wear with a patterned clutch for something a bit more weddingy.

I like the back of the dress btw, but not so keen on the front. A bit too Wednesday Adams.
