How often do you wear your pjs before they go in the wash?

Maybe not the right place to put this question but I couldn't find a better category.

How often do you wear your pjs before they go in the wash? I think I go for about 2 days before washing, but curious to know if this is normal?

I wear nighties for 3/4 days.

Allmarbleslost · 07/03/2023 08:54

3 or 4 days in winter. Probably 2 in summer if it's particularly sweaty!

Changedmymindtoday · 07/03/2023 08:55

3ish days. And every time I change my sheets even if it’s 1 day. But that’s assuming I’m not sweaty and hot.

Riverlee · 07/03/2023 08:55

A few days. I’ve never subscribed to the wear-once then wash school of thought.

Branster · 07/03/2023 08:57

About 4 days but I shower every evening before going to bed.
In the summer is pants and vest top sets and those I change every day.

NevieSticks · 07/03/2023 08:58

It's a nightie and once.

Amybelle88 · 07/03/2023 08:59

Two nights. I shower every night before bed but couldn't do more than two.

Orcubed · 07/03/2023 09:08

I’ve recently upped from two nights to three to cut down on washing. I don’t like the third night

NeverTrustAPoliceman · 07/03/2023 09:09

I love this sort of thread. You'll get every possible response from "I get up at 3 am to change into fresh pjs, couldn't possibly wear the same ones all night, how rank" to "I've been wearing the same ones since lockdown".

Somewhere in the middle here.

For added fun you could ask whether it's knickers underneath or not. Those threads are hilarious.

Youcancallmeirrelevant · 07/03/2023 09:09

About a week, maybe longer, i don't really keep track, if they get dirty they go in the wash

OverTheRubicon · 07/03/2023 09:11

Personally twice a week, or more if really hot in summer, and main sheets plus pillowcase weekly.
However this thread will definitely bring all the MN crazies who claim to wash everything they own daily. Never clear it it's because they have WAY too much time and money, or because they actually want others to suffer through increased work and massive environmental damage

myveryownelectrickitten · 07/03/2023 09:11

I just wear an old t-shirt and knickers to bed, so I normally have a fresh pair each night. I find I get quite sweaty overnight so it wouldn’t be at all nice to wear the t-shirts twice. They tend to be quite thin old cotton ones which are wearing out though, so they don’t take up much space in the wash.

KingDog · 07/03/2023 09:11

Usually once but sometimes twice.
I tend to cook and eat breakfast in my PJ in the morning so they get dirty plus I'm very messy when I brush my teeth and do skin routine I hate products and stains on my PJ. Can't be bothered with spot washing.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 07/03/2023 09:13

A night shirt ,clean one daily.

Cincinnatus · 07/03/2023 09:16

Every two days.

QueefQueen80s · 07/03/2023 09:53

Clean ones every day, I like to be fresh.

hippygirllucky · 07/03/2023 10:13

@NeverTrustAPoliceman and @OverTheRubicon I was thinking this when I posted, I thought "gosh, is someone going to call be disgusting for only changing once every two days?!". Domestic matters really seem to get some people hot under the collar.

Twice.

If wearing nighties, a bit longer, maybe 4 times.

Toddlerteaplease · 07/03/2023 10:15

5 unless it's very hot.

EveryLittleWish · 07/03/2023 10:16

It depends ! if I’m sweating a lot then they go in the wash after one use . Usually I go 2-3 wears before I wash .

winelove · 07/03/2023 10:21

2 to 3 nights, if a bit smelly they go in the wash. So a sniffer also, also no knicks most of the time. Clean sheets, always a shower before I go to bed and clean pj's.

soboredoflooking · 07/03/2023 10:29

I used to do fresh everyday before the kids were born. Now it's too much washing so I do every second night.

Now don't ask me about my bedsheets 😂 they certainly aren't done as often!

Remaker · 07/03/2023 10:32

2 nights. Sometimes one in summer.

SallyWD · 07/03/2023 10:33

3 to 4 days
