How often do you wear your pjs before they go in the wash?

Maybe not the right place to put this question but I couldn't find a better category.

How often do you wear your pjs before they go in the wash? I think I go for about 2 days before washing, but curious to know if this is normal?

Never owned PJs.

People, ditch the knickers. Your coochie needs to breathe sometimes!

  1. my 'coochie' doesn't have lungs
  2. cotton is not airtight
  3. mind your own fucking business!

No where near as much as anyone on this thread.

I love this sort of thread. You'll get every possible response from "I get up at 3 am to change into fresh pjs, couldn't possibly wear the same ones all night, how rank" to "I've been wearing the same ones since lockdown".

Somewhere in the middle here.

For added fun you could ask whether it's knickers underneath or not. Those threads are hilarious.

^🤣
Yup. It’s been awhile.

You’ll also get, “what about the environment…” but we’re in the top 96% of mammals so fuck the remainder.

I love these threads. Personally, I am (according to Mumsnet) disgusting, slovenly and grim and change to clean pyjamas once a week. Occasionally twice a week if I get really sweaty. Sheets /duvet cover changed every 2 weeks.

Ah, AIBU people are here. Love how they've given me an account of their personal circumstances and then told me to mind my of fucking business.

My best friend is a gynecologist. This is the advice she dishes out to all women, cotton knickers or no.

These threads are excellent.

The only time my knickers come off is in the shower, on the loo, and sex (which I haven’t had in donkeys years). I have had zero UTIs or infections (including thrush) in all my years. Your gyne is talking out of her arse.

Wear a bed tshirt (retired outdoor tshirt) and only once.

mamatoTails · 10/03/2023 13:40

2 nights, then a clean pair. Shower every night before I put them on.

Oldnproud · 22/03/2023 18:58

Wash them once a year, whether they need it or not.

I just give the pits and crotch a bit of a sniff and see if we're good for another night 🤣🤣🤣🤣🫣

Thank god I found your comment! Thought I was the only one 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Catsmere · 23/04/2023 12:53

I only wear PJs if it’s a really cold night - I have two cats who sleep on my bed so it gets pretty warm. So the PJs don’t need to get washed terribly often.

wendywoopywoo222 · 23/04/2023 13:08

I sleep naked so never for me.

8roses · 24/04/2023 14:49

Twice max 😃

Once a year!! You do realise you’re killing the planet? I do mine every time Halley’s Comet comes around. That’s perfectly sufficient.

BCBird · 03/06/2023 21:08

Once because I sweat like a pig in clingfilm🤪

I just take mine outside now and again to beat them against a rock 😀
