How often do you wear your pjs before they go in the wash?

Maybe not the right place to put this question but I couldn't find a better category.

How often do you wear your pjs before they go in the wash? I think I go for about 2 days before washing, but curious to know if this is normal?

V v v old thin t-shirts.
Anything from 1 day to a week, both end of that being unusual but not unknown. Depends on whether I've been sweaty, am about to put a wash on, etc.

naemates · 07/03/2023 13:28

Are the night showerers also day showerers?

Surely the last thing you want after a shower is to put on dirty pjs?

JamSandle · 07/03/2023 13:30

A few days. I shower twice daily so I'm not unclean when I'm in them.

JamSandle · 07/03/2023 13:30

I also sleep naked a lot though.

Ladydinosaur · 07/03/2023 13:33

I wash mine after every wear
but if I don’t,they stink
i sweat really badly and it clings to my clothes-I’m not the person who gets up at 3am to wash my bedsheets or showers every 20 minutes!
the bedding gets washed twice a week or it would honk
ive tried almost everything to stop sweating as badly as I do but nothing seems to work

Imtryingnottobother · 07/03/2023 13:35

Once. I wear pyjamas and don't wear underwear.

Wishimaywishimight · 07/03/2023 13:46

10 days, maybe 2 weeks.

Lcb123 · 07/03/2023 13:47

3-4 days usually.

theatrical · 07/03/2023 13:57

One or two nights

Motheranddaughter · 07/03/2023 13:59

Daily
To my it’s like underwear

megletthesecond · 07/03/2023 13:59

Twice. I shower every evening.

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 07/03/2023 14:31

Only wear them in the evening at home after my shower and take them off for med. Usually 2 - 3 nights

FuckNuggets · 07/03/2023 15:01

Everyday. But, I wear them round the house to lounge about in. Hate wearing jeans or work clothes at home.

FuckNuggets · 07/03/2023 15:02

I mean I wash them everyday.

DemBonesDemBones · 07/03/2023 16:33

Every day. I really hope the 2 weekers are cracking a window in their bedroom. Confused

Spanielsarepainless · 07/03/2023 16:35

3-4 nights but only for sleeping in, so 8 hours a night.

catfunk · 07/03/2023 16:37

Every 2 or 3 days
I don't wear knickers but I wear very baggy bottoms that don't sit in my crotch if that makes sense.

WingingItSince1973 · 07/03/2023 16:38

Every night. But then I get awful night sweats.

Ndd135632 · 07/03/2023 16:40

Depends if we have had sex ;-)

kittykarate · 07/03/2023 17:23

I wear pyjamas as loungewear rather than sleepwear, so it's basically they get washed when I've got a really obvious baileys/wine/whisky stain on the front.

Nighties are once a week.

Shitfather · 07/03/2023 17:34

Love these threads. I wear mine around a week with fresh knickers before bed. I don’t see why pjs need to be changed frequently.

Shitfather · 07/03/2023 17:36

Why what’s the problem? I shower, put on fresh knickers and then pjs. I’ve never seen why this is unhygenic (and I’m a super/clean person - wash my undercarriage with water after a trip to the loo).

Mistymoonsinastarrysky · 07/03/2023 17:40

I sleep alone, shower before bed and wear nightshirts so probably change it every 3 or 4 days?
if I wore pyjamas then change every 3 days. Bedding changed weekly.
I’ve survived to nearly 70 so must be doing ok!

Shopper727 · 07/03/2023 21:42

I don’t wear them in bed unless it’s freezing cold 🥶 but I’ll go a few days. I don’t have a shower - bath (hate baths) but will put on clean pjs afterwards. But it’s personal choice really, I mean what’s going to happen if you wear ‘dirty’ pjs after a shower I’ve survived 44 years so I’m sure nothing at all 😂

zorgoid · 07/03/2023 21:43

Too many. My washing is always the last to get done
