I loved the Chosen by You kit, and the toiletry bag is gorgeous and really sturdy.
Unfortunately I bought mine at £95 , just a couple of days before it was reduced to £85, but still amazing value for money!

MavisMcMinty · 30/06/2023 13:27

I’ve been eyeing it up for AGES but thought £125 was too steep. I haven’t even got that much credit in my account yet.

Countmeout · 30/06/2023 16:47

i am pleased with my Chosen by You kit too. As @BCSurvivor says the bag is lovely and I needed one . I am still pleased with the Good Genes, using the one from last times box , my first. I thought the sizes were good in everything. I even used the eyeshadow yesterday which I don’t normally wear.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 30/06/2023 17:17

Thanks @ferretface good to know. The last kit I bought was the one with the dinky hot water bottle in. I take it on uk weekend breaks, praying for the nights to be cold enough... still haven;t started the face oil or body creme in the same bag. @MavisMcMinty did you manage to intercept your dad to get him to buy your Liberty kit?!

MavisMcMinty · 30/06/2023 17:45

He tried but didn’t get the text confirmation from his credit card, said he’d try again and I’ve heard nowt since, so fingers crossed! I was explaining how the Beauty Drop works and he was surprised at the apparent good value, but we both agreed that a) Liberty gets that money eventually, as you can only spend it there, and b) Liberty has a HUGE mark-up on their products compared with most retailers.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 30/06/2023 17:48

Still showing on sale Mavis. Can you not order it, and get him to ping the money, or would you feel uncomfortable?

Ooh, what colour is the eyeshadow please, @Countmeout ? It gives the name on the contents but not the actual colour.

Yes, we already agreed that’s what we’d do, so hopefully not hearing back yet means it went through the second time. So excited!

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 30/06/2023 17:51

I bought it at full price and don't regret it. The Good Genes and scrunchie alone are worth £100 and the wash bag is a generous size and a lovely print. £85 is a bargain

MavisMcMinty · 30/06/2023 17:54

I was considering asking him for the latest Red (Hearst) beauty box but it’s £93 and this one sounds so much cheaper at £85, don’t you think?

MavisMcMinty · 30/06/2023 17:57

(Please don’t worry, I usually keep silent about my birthday, it’s only ‘cos I’ll be SIXTY (60). If I’m still alive at 70 I’ll probably do this again.)

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 30/06/2023 18:53

I don't wear the scrunchie as part of an outfit but is great tying my hair back at night as it doesn't cause a kink unlike a regular hair tie.

I was so impressed I went to buy a spare - that's why I know they are £30 !

hettiethehare · 30/06/2023 19:35

I've finally succumbed and ordered the Chosen By You kit - it was the talk of the scrunchie that made me @kenyaswhiterefrigerator ;)

My monthly beauty drop payment went onto my credit today, so the kit only ended up costing me £45 in actual money which was too much to resist.

hettiethehare · 30/06/2023 19:38

I also rather shamefully now own enough Liberty print washbags to send all 3 of my DC off to cub/ scout camp with them now.

Countmeout · 30/06/2023 19:47

It’s a sort of taupe/brown @MavisMcMinty , quite neutral. I think it would probably suit a range of people.

MavisMcMinty · 30/06/2023 19:49

Thanks!

AprilLady · 30/06/2023 21:06

I’ve also got the Chosen kit and really like it, it’s great value at £85.

@MavisMcMinty happy 60th! Not to muddy the waters too much, but I also think the Hearst Red box is good, and if you use the right links you can get it 20% off (so £74). Happy to try post a link if it’s helpful.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 30/06/2023 22:09

How old are you @MavisMcMinty ? Would that be 60? What are you getting for your birthday. Did someone promise you a car? Grin

Reinventinganna · 30/06/2023 22:40

@MavisMcMinty your dad sounds lovely.

FurryFrigginFrump · 30/06/2023 23:58

ferretface the Bossa sounds lush 🌴

AprilLady I’d love the link if you wouldn’t mind, I’ve done a quick bit of Googling and couldn’t find anything.

MavisMcMinty · 01/07/2023 06:07

That’d be great @AprilLady , thanks!

Yes @SpongeBobJudgeyPants - I have been promised a car by someone, I'm very very lucky!

My Dad is wonderful, @Reinventinganna ! 87 this year but in great health and an amazing social life that would exhaust me.

Cyclingmummy1 · 01/07/2023 08:45

@HundredMilesAnHour it's arrived! Very pleased with the contents, not a body product in sight 😆

MavisMcMinty · 01/07/2023 09:15

Oh wow, thanks! Now, who can I email that link to?

luckystarg · 01/07/2023 09:26

Hey, it was my birthday Wednesday and I didn’t get any form of bday voucher - do you usually get one?
