Aaaaaah I like the look of the weekender kit but my credit is gone and my previous order hasn't even arrived yet.

I need three faces at this rate to use up all the product

Quella · 04/05/2023 08:24

@H3lloMums

The AdP gift seems to be off now, it was there on Tuesday morning when I ordered and was included in the parcel which arrived yesterday. The sizes are small though! (20ml for the gel/ lotion and 5ml colognia.)

If you like citrus (and soap) the Ortigia Zagara soap I also ordered is lovely (also small!) but I ordered as it comes with a very nice glass soap dish as well. That was £26.

And the Neom Big Day Energy facial spritz I had is recommended - that based on a quick blast this morning.

SwordBilledHummingbird · 04/05/2023 10:45

@LoveLabradors The iris is just over-powering, I thought the birch and amber would soften it but they really don't. Fortunately I have a couple of family members who love strong, floral scents so both candles can be repurposed as gifts. Disappointing though as I thought I'd probably enjoy both.

LoveLabradors · 04/05/2023 10:57

@SwordBilledHummingbird . I have the wildflowers one, not opened it yet but finding the jasmine a little overpowering too. Had hoped for the ianthe candle but sounds like that might not have appealed either. Hopefully it will grow on me. They are huge candles, much bigger than diptyque etc.
I wasn’t sure about the fig perfume on first spray but it really grew on me.

SwordBilledHummingbird · 04/05/2023 11:00

@LoveLabradors I also wanted the Ianthe one but now think I would have preferred Wildflowers as I like jasmine. I was the same with the fig perfume, not sure at first but it definitely grew on me after a few hours. I need to give it a proper test and compare with some of my other fig perfumes.

AprilLady · 04/05/2023 11:43

I got the Wildflowers candle. It is huge, but fortunately I do like the scent, so really happy I got it rather than the Ianthe.

H3lloMums · 04/05/2023 13:06

@Quella - oh that is quite small, okay I dont feel I missed out now! Luckily the GWP isn't as appealing as it could be...I wish they brought out another kit with Votary (besides the apple toner) I love most of their products. The Neroli glow drops are really relaxing as facial oil before bed. I like hearing other recommendations/not so goods!

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 04/05/2023 18:06

The GWP arrived today and I was quite impressed. Full size sunscreen and good size wash bag in a nice print and so anything else was a bonus.

Candle being full size was a pleasant surprise

Oh shit. I really wanted to save my credit for the advent calendar. I must not weaken.

I had a wobble but in the end I decided that I'm saving my credit for either the autumn GWP or the advent calendar.

I've got loads to go at for now and I want to use it up first otherwise it's all going to go off or just get wasted.

Stay with me in the north buying corner!!

PomRuns · 05/05/2023 14:27

I am really pleased with mine - very little I won't use. I will try not to buy anything now until Advent unless there are new kits

Londontomadrid · 05/05/2023 15:40

Mine just arrived! Really pleased with it. Agree the perfume didnt smell very figgy at first. Didn't like it upon first spray but now it's mellowed, it's grown on me and I get the fig notes. Also got the wild flowers candle. Would have preferred the other one I think, but will get used. Some really nice things that'll be handy for travel and a nice size wash bag! Also happy with the full size spf as I had almost run out. Purchased Diptyque goodies to qualify and pleased with those also.

hettiethehare · 05/05/2023 16:04

I was very pleased with the size of the washbag as well! I'm rather awash with the smaller ones, so I shall have to give them to the DC (who will look very stylish on cub camp this year!)

wheresmyshoe · 05/05/2023 19:14

I'm sorry to say to anyone trying to resist the Liberty GWP that it's an absolute banger. I love it and love the wildflower candle. Also ridiculously happy about the Diptyque bits I bought to get it.

I have just succumbed

Boppertini · 05/05/2023 19:50

I succumbed as well (quite happily) and stocked up on some skincare. I got the Ianthe candle but would’ve preferred the Wildflowers I think so if anyone want to swap, feel free to send me a message.

largeprintagathachristie · 05/05/2023 19:52

For those who got the big GWP, with the candle, and the full-sized Ultra Violette Lean Screen sunscreen, is anyone else having trouble making the sunscreen actually come out of the pump? I get nothing, whatever I do, and the mechanism's locked so I can't just unscrew the top. I see reviews elsewhere complain about the packaging, so I think this is a thing.

But do let me know if there's a trick I'm missing.

It was the main reason I caved, so if I really can't get into it, I think I'll contact Liberty.

This just happened to me with the sunscreen! It wasn't coming out at all. What worked was squeezing the tube at the same time as pumping and it came out after 10 or so pumps of doing this.

LoveLabradors · 05/05/2023 20:36

@Boppertini - possibly! Can you describe ianthe in a non pr way 🤣

Boppertini · 05/05/2023 20:49

@LoveLabradors oh I’m terrible at describing scents 😅 the front of the packaging says birch wood, amber musk and I would say I think it’s fairly musky, and a bit floral/perfume-y as well. I think the scent might grow on me but my first instinct was that it wasn’t quite for me.

Thank you! I have just tried this, which I wouldn't have thought of, and it worked. I'm in!

I'm joining you. I've got so much stuff. I've decided that other than the drop boxes I'm not buying any more stuff until I get the advent calendar unless I NEED it..nthat means using all the shampoos and shower gels up even if they're not my favorites and same for everything else. I'm using up all the samples and advent calander bits I've got lying about not to add full size stuff. I've got more.than I need and tempted though I am by GWP I have to resist

Pinenu · 06/05/2023 08:49

I’m resisting. Struggling. But resisting.

My husband pointed out that when it gets the point of having to buy furniture just to store my beauty products, it might be worth using up what I have first. Killjoy.

Peridot1 · 06/05/2023 09:00

I’m still resisting too.

@Pinenu - I know just what you mean! My stash has definitely outgrown my storage. DH would say the same as yours. They just don’t get it. But I have to admit he’s right.

redredwineub40 · 06/05/2023 09:11

I had the same issue with the ultra violets sunscreen and got chucked away early as just became messy.

I have too many products as well - overdue a cull. Problem is often you try something a few times, there’s no real effect and back in the drawers they go.

Peridot1 · 06/05/2023 09:13

I have used quite a few different Ultra Violette sun screens and never had an issue with the packaging. Might be a dodgy batch I suppose.
