This is really good to hear @Orangeslemon . I'm glad I'm not imagining it,
I really like their Marine Facial Cleanser (it's a facial wash) which I've been using consistently for the last 6+ years. It's been the only facial wash that has swayed me away from Demalogica (which I used to always end up going back to for years and years until I tried the Haeckels one). I also consistently use their Exfoliating Seawood Block as my shower soap. It's one of their very first products and a bestseller.
Apologies if I am Haeckels bore. They're a very unusual company, with impeccable eco credentials and doing so much for their local community - they still handmake all their products at their Margate base (I used to live nearby and was visiting when I saw their premises and thought 'ooh that looks interesting' so that's how it started for me). They opened a second shop in east London (near where I live now - they clearly know their market lol) and each Christmas us locals can drop off our dead Christmas trees with them and they make them into candles (which for a small charge you can then buy). They restored an old fashioned Victorian bathing hut as a sauna and this is now open to the community (you just book online) on a beach near Margate. They're very innovative. They give you a discount if you do some beach cleaning. I could go on and on but I won't. They're probably quite 'hipster' and would have been a big name by now if they were willing to compromise their principles - for example, one of the big airlines wanted to use their products in their Business and First class amenity kits and Haeckels said no as they felt it might compromise their integrity.
If you're interested in trying any of their other products, I have a code which gets 'friends and family' 15% off your first order online (only online and it only works once): w7z7p9m0jm2ww (I joined their new monthly subscription scheme - now sold out with a waiting list - and a surprise benefit was being sent this discount code to share).
