Am a wedding guest in June - definitely do not want a dress- I'd love a suit (see image attached) but if I get hot I'd be worried the trousers and top would look a bit lumpy without the jacket
So I was thinking of a flippy silk co ord maybe in a jewel colour or a floral - sort of like a luxe pyjama vibe
Anyone seen similar? I'm short and can be an 18/20/22 dependent on shop and am an apple shape

I love how Trinny Woodall dresses but I am the exact opposite of her shape!

have you thought about a linen suit ? Linen is cooler in warmer weather and looks great.
you could put a sexy singlet underneath for a more sophisticated (wedding) look
I’m also a chunky monkey so feeling your pain

Such a good idea! How about something like this, maybe with a cami underneath, big earrings, loads of bangles and a big ring, and some chunky heeled sandals?

but summer wedding, you say pyjama vibe...my brain went straight here for a kimono or duster jacket.

I don't look good in linen- and I somehow always feel frumpy in it

This is a very funky wedding so I want to look comfortably myself but luxe

I like the idea of this but I always find ASOS silky stuff terrible fabric

I had considered a jumpsuit but I am also a capsule queen so if I can get a co ord that I can split up after the fact I would be happier

They have a lot of florals in that silhouette if any take your fancy.

another possibility - lightweight suit, with a scarf over the lapels, or tied at the front like your pic, but one that can be used as a top layer if the jacket gets too hot?

I do have one of those short kimonos and they are synthetic but the material isn't hot. So if you want to change for dancing, it can be screwed up and chucked in a small bag, if you will have one.

I'm not keen to go all black base and colorful kimono / bright shoes/ handbag as again that feels a bit apologetic - I remember relying on this look loads when I felt self conscious about my size

I love the idea of this but again- the fabric is awful on it - nothing is more disappointing than ordering an amazing thing form ASOS and it comes and it's that horrible scuba stuff!
