I like Do Son to sniff when I'm passing a bottle because I like Tuberose but it's a bit flat and one note on my skin. It's not tuberose like a Fracas tuberose, it's slightly more aquatic than that. I think it's instantly recognisable.

I bought a knock off perfume oil of it when I was in my candle making phase so I have a few diffusers that I use that in the house and the smell is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. I had a good Baies copy oil too. I think Diptique is quite easy to mimic because their smells are in the main not too complex.

Yes aquatic that's it - it has a slight aquatic tinge. Not too fussed about it as the day went on. Initially I was sort of interested.

Visit to GP today. Apparently, the lining and cartilage of my chest wall is inflamed, which causes the awful pain, so strong anti-inflamatories are the order of the day until better. Glad it's not something super serious, but it really hurts like hell, although is a bit better now with the medicine.

SOTD was more spritzings of Shalimar, for inner fortification.

Loads of daffodils in the park today. And I sniffed someone wearing Ambre Sultan in the Marks and Spencer Food Hall.

Sounds like you're having a hard time. Sorry to hear that.

I had a bottle of Shalimar when I was younger - it was beautiful I might seek it out again. Perhaps in the EDT.

I am currently eyeing up Creed Wind Flowers as a treat purchase. Mostly because the bottle is so beautiful, I need to smell it a few more times I think. It would be a major purchase though so I want to be comfortable I would wear it at any time of year.

I got my Perfume Society Spring box yesterday so today I'm wearing one of them- JPG Classique Pride edition. There's a LOT of neroli in it, which I can be quite marmitey about. But it has started off quite spring like with what smells like a lily of the valley top note. I'm enjoying the step away from my more wintery perfumes.

Thank you @bonjello Shalimar is still beautiful, and I think remains quite true to the original formulation, which is so rare atm.

SOTN is Amber Absolute.

SOTD Ambre Narguile - which I bought after all the positive comments on this thread. Easily the nicest Amber I own, very pleased with it.

I purchased it off eBay and was a little concerned it might be a fake as the price was really good, but very relieved that it all looks and smells legit.

SOTD Nahema on top of rose body lotion. I've joined the 4160 Tuesdays latest crowdfunder and gone for the Eau de parfum. I'm intrigued and frightened by the number of things she plans to put in it.

I love Ambre Narguile @AprilLady It's one of my winter favourites - so cosy and homely with those stewed apple and spice notes. ❄️
