SOTD has been Oakmossery. I needed something structured and grown-up for what I knew would be a tough day at work.

Unfortunately it was even shittier than I thought. Significant chance I (and my team) could be made redundant. Even a lovely chypre couldn't cheer me up. Heading home to wine and probably a fair bit of staring into space.

I'm so sorry x
Wine 🍷 sounds good

Chevyimpala67 · 28/02/2023 17:21

I was on an interview panel today so needed something office friendly
Sotd pp mmm btf

Ugh, sounds rotten. Sorry to hear that. Wine may well help. Flowers

Cantonet · 28/02/2023 17:51

@TakeYourHatOffBoy I'm sorry you've had such a shitty day.
There's a lot of it about at the moment 😓

FestivelyScent · 28/02/2023 22:43

Sorry to hear that @TakeYourHatOffBoy That sounds a terribly tough day. 💐🍷

SOTN is Ambre Narguile. Every year I'm struck by how many perfumes I own named Amber this, that or the other. However, this is not a labdanum amber at all, but spicy stewed apples. ❄️

It's fab :)

CorneliaStreet · 01/03/2023 17:54

SOTD was Mon Guerlain, SOTE is By the Fireplace. Cold and miserable here today so needed cosy scents.

Alienbigcat45 · 01/03/2023 20:19

Aaargh I rushed out this morning without thinking about perfume so it's going to be whatever I find I've got in my bag when I get to work.

Chevyimpala67 · 02/03/2023 08:48

Sotd pp eau de gucci
Fabulous!

InsomniacVampire · 02/03/2023 08:54

Under My Skin from Francesca Bianchi

LadyOfTheCanyon · 02/03/2023 09:52

Turns out it was Ambre Narguile in my bag which suits me just fine.

Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 02/03/2023 10:49

SOTD unexpected joy Zara with Jo Malone. Amazing fragrance with very loud magnolia and neroli. I am loving this.

FestivelyScent · 02/03/2023 22:12

Woke up with awful chest pain early this morning, which was frightening - can't breathe or move my upper body without it hurting. GP says it's costochondritis and has prescribed strong painkillers. I have to go in tomorrow for a checkup.

So, today I've been stuck on the sofa trying to keep as still as possible all day.

SOTD is spritzings of Shalimar, as I need comfort.

Oh gosh, @FestivelyScent poor you, that sounds awful. I hope you start to feel better soon. Keep spraying that gorgeous, comforting Shalimar Flowers

Rebel2 · 03/03/2023 01:07

SOTD replica funfair evening

IrisApfelRocks · 03/03/2023 06:38

@festivescents Hope you feel better soon 💐

SOTD is Nishane Hundred Silent Ways. It gets compared to Black Opium and I get the comparison but to me it's a more refined, peachy, and cleaner version. Beats BO hands down. Staying power as with all Nishanes is good. Easily lasts all day

Chevyimpala67 · 03/03/2023 08:34

Oh @FestivelyScent i hope you get some relief xx

Sotd pp eau de gucci to meet a friend for coffee ☕️

bonjello · 03/03/2023 08:49

I am wearing a sample of Diptyque- Do Son today.

I'm not sure what I make of it. Has anyone else tried it?

LadyOfTheCanyon · 03/03/2023 09:10

Oh no @FestivelyScent that sounds very frightening. Hope you're feeling a bit better now? Glad that Shalimar helped you through!

SOTD is Lalique Velvet Plum. Not plummy at all but a lovely warm jumper kind of smell.

I like Do Son to sniff when I'm passing a bottle because I like Tuberose but it's a bit flat and one note on my skin. It's not tuberose like a Fracas tuberose, it's slightly more aquatic than that. I think it's instantly recognisable.

I bought a knock off perfume oil of it when I was in my candle making phase so I have a few diffusers that I use that in the house and the smell is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. I had a good Baies copy oil too. I think Diptique is quite easy to mimic because their smells are in the main not too complex.

CorneliaStreet · 03/03/2023 18:04

Hope you’re feeling better today @FestivelyScent.

SOTD was Gallivant Tel Aviv. I love white florals with lighter, citrusy top notes at this time of year as they’re fresh but still have depth and warmth.
