SOTN is No19.

It really does. The house has to have a grand bifurcated staircase that can be dramatically swooned upon when the police deliver the sad and totally unexpected news.

SOTN is Jousset Imperial Harem. This one is a recent buy for me, and I was sold on it thanks to this description on Fragrantica: “It's a tremendously strong amber rose combo, balanced with vanilla for sweetness and peru balsam for a woody note. It needs nothing more. It's something you might expect to smell on a temple prostitute in antiquity”

SOTD Tauer Orange Star. Wasn't a fan of this when I first got it (in one if those divine little silver tins that he no longer ships to the UK, sob) but today its doing the trick. Juicy, juicy, slightly sour oranges underpinned by that sweet, spicy Tauerade. Not your usual citrus, for sure.

I am wearing Tom Ford Soleil Blanc I think. It is ok but will not buy a bottle this was a mini tester bottle. What I am desperate to buy is Gucci bloom the jasmine one. I smelt it on a shop but the price was not any lower than you get in Boots and of course I would get points!!

SOTD Jo Malone Lime Basil Mandarin. This is the only JM that has any staying power on me but unfortunately it’s not one of my favourites. Ok for this time of year though.

SOTD is Rehab, which I love. I've just had a sniff round JL on Oxford Street and they've started stocking Maison Crivelli. They have a Patchouli one with a weirdly addictive sort of metal top note. I can't stop sniffing myself!

@InsomniacVampire so many! Tried a few at the DS& Durga counter, I've been intrigued by the description of Bowmakers for ages and it lived up to it. Others weren't as dirty as I was expecting such as Debaser and Leatherize. It was quite overwhelming, tried most of the Sana Jardins and some Vilhelms.

@Thereislightattheendofthetunnel i still have about half a bottle, but I think the closest match for me would actually be Jo Malone Red Roses. It’s slightly deeper and a little less sweet, but it’s a true rose like Stella is (in my opinion).

SOTD Penhaligons Orange Blossom. This was a sample and is pretty much finished - I really liked it.

This is totally off topic, but I remember last year I also loved a sample of Penhaligons Lily of the Valley. My MIL gave me a LOTV plant (a bulb I think, from her garden) and it grew! I have the blackest of black fingers and I am honestly SO proud of myself!

You lucky thing @Judystilldreamsofhorses LOTV is one of my favourite flowers. 😊 They have such a delicate prettiness - and always seem so perfectly formed.

SOTN is Ambre Orient. Powdery sandalwood heaven.

SOTD is Mitsouko by Guerlain. Whenever I wear it I feel like I’m in front of a mirror, touching up my makeup and getting ready for the police to knock on the door to tell me my elderly and wealthy new husband has been found deceased following a tragic and unexplainable accident.

Love this I imagined Catherine Zeta Jones doing just this.

SOTD Eau de Charlotte, Annick Goutal. I find it so sparkly and springtime-ish.
