Oops! Looks like we ran out of space on the last thread - I hope you all find your way over here.

Anyway, welcome fragrant friends to a shiny new thread!

As always, everyone is very welcome - we're most definitely open to Newbies. Come and discuss your Scent Of The Day (SOTD), old favourites, new infatuations, the best dupes and scents of any price point. We are very friendly! 😊

Oh, that's interesting @LadyOfTheCanyon - I follow them on IG as well and have not noticed that at all. Some of the website pics are a bit cheesy though...

My local shop is very much 'artisan / natural ingredients / locally sourced' and the women that work there are definitely on the 'artist / sculptor in flowing linen, black-framed glasses and untamed hair' side (I mean that entirely as a compliment, I aspire to that look!) I'd be very surprised if they were Pink Minger fans...but I guess you never know!

The perfumes themselves seem good-quality, with some depth, and they certainly last.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 25/02/2023 18:14

That's interesting! Isn't it funny what we take away from the same thing? I might well give the tester box a go based on your description. Thanks!

alltheevennumbers · 25/02/2023 19:41

SotN Eau des Baux. Cosy incense.

Actually, I've just listened to one of their IG stories with the sound turned up and, yeah, I think I get what you mean now! I never have the sound on usually... 😆

I agree it's a bit 'influencer-y', which is odd because that doesn't reflect my (admittedly limited) experience with them at all.

FestivelyScent · 25/02/2023 23:15

A walk by the sea sounds absolutely glorious @TakeYourHatOffBoy Although I am still at the two vests and double socks stage of winter, so it'd probably be a bit cold in the sea breeze for me! 😊

SOTN is Amber Absolute. ❄️

SOTD Roja Enigma Aoud beautiful, powdery, soft peach

TakeYourHatOffBoy · 26/02/2023 09:50

SOTD is the last drops of PG Felanilla, which I might have to re-purchase as I love it so. The iris and hay notes give it a dry coolness whilst the vanilla stops it from being chilly or standoffish. One of my top 3 vanillas, I think.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 26/02/2023 11:14

Still really cold where I am so rolled out Ambre Narguile this morning so I could feel warm and cosy while I'm at work.

AprilLady · 26/02/2023 11:58

SOTD Gris Charnel, wearing this a lot at the moment..

Good morning! I need to be up and at 'em today doing a lot of house cleaning and washing so I've gone for the very no nonsense PP Lime basil and Mandarin as I need something bracing to get me moving!

CorneliaStreet · 27/02/2023 12:02

I’m wearing Lime Basil Mandarin today too, layered with Wood Sage & Sea Salt.

Chevyimpala67 · 27/02/2023 12:32

Ooh I love the last of us @Chevyimpala67. I look forward to Mondays so I can catch up with 1923 & Harrison Ford as well. I strangely dislike YellowStone. Sotd is Guerlains Nahema & yesterdays was Papillons Tobacco Rose.

Oh! I don't like yellowstone either!
or sucession...i couldnt get past the 2nd episide...there isn't a single likeable/interesting character. Ugh.

TakeYourHatOffBoy · 27/02/2023 13:22

You have to stick with Succession @Chevyimpala67 - I thought the same when watching it at first, loathed them all, couldn't see the point of the storyline. Came back to it about a year later, tried again and bam! totally hooked and cannot wait for the new series. All the characters are still unlikeable but they're unlikeable in a Really, Really Good Way now 😁

Anyway, SOTD is Freidemodin Rosee de Nuit (cba with the accents).

FestivelyScent · 27/02/2023 23:11

I'm sitting in bed drinking tea and wondering what scent I feel like wearing today. I've still got a lot of samples to work through but I feel it might be a Chanel Sycomore kind of day.

CorneliaStreet · 28/02/2023 07:52

SOTD Miller Harris Secret Gardenia. It’s my favourite spring scent so starting a bit early on this one, despite the frost everywhere outside.

Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 28/02/2023 07:58

SOTD is Quizás, quizás, quizás by Loewe. Today’s version is the EDP. Very intense on the patchouli but beautifully blended with florals.
I am gutted they discontinued this masterpiece.

TakeYourHatOffBoy · 28/02/2023 17:04

SOTD has been Oakmossery. I needed something structured and grown-up for what I knew would be a tough day at work.

Unfortunately it was even shittier than I thought. Significant chance I (and my team) could be made redundant. Even a lovely chypre couldn't cheer me up. Heading home to wine and probably a fair bit of staring into space.
