Is this dress ok for a first date?

I don't know why I've bothered to hide my face as if you know me you know me!

I got this website recommended and ordered this dress, they send the wrong colour as if orders blue. But I think the green is nice too!

Honest opinions on it for first date 😬

Your comments just struck me as particularly strange. The op told us what the date was and the dress is perfect for it. I am amazed you thought to say that the dress 'wasn't cool' snd then went on about her sending off sexual vibes and what would the man think?

I think you look great, not keen on the shoes though. I hate the way people never dress up anymore, if I'm going out I want to dress nice, not just pull a pair of jeans on that I could wear to Tesco!

It is way too much in my opinion. Far too dressy and leggy AND booby for a first date and far too dressy for any restaurant I've ever been too.

I'd wear something much less sexually obvious and see if the man was interested in a second date having not yet seen my tits.

Nothing wrong with being a sexual woman. Most women are sexual, obviously. I'm talking about whether you want to put your tits on a plate on a first date. If op does then it's a great dress.

I think the dress looks better on you than the model shot and I'm not keen on the dress really. Though I think it's very formal and overdressed for a first date, but if you're comfortable with that then I'd stick with the shoes you were originally planning to wear rather than alternatives.

That dress is totally fine.
I’d wear it. Then again I think I’m unique amongst most mumsnetters as I wear dresses a lot. I don’t tend to fit the mould of wearing pjs or leggings about town.

Date in 2 weeks!

Getting it slightly altered so not quite so revealing!!

Other than that I'm
Happy and feel good.

Man is really special so I hope I goes well.

Married 20 years as I say so it's very nerve wrecking!

I don't like any of those shoes, sorry, but if you feel good that's what matters. Could you maybe try the dress with a camisole under?
