Oh think I misread my accountl. Its not been refunded. I hope it doesn't refund. Fingers crossed!

Snowyowl78 · 10/01/2023 11:45

@Nosejobent i have them- I am a high street 14 and the Medium is fine for a roomy fit. For an oversized slouchy fit I’d go Large. I really love the shape of them.

MiracleToast · 10/01/2023 11:48

Eek. I hope you have a toast miracle and the landscape dress is yours!

AmethystMoonShine · 10/01/2023 12:08

@Nosejobent Ive got the round jumper in denim and have just ordered in inkwell too, I’m wearing the denim so much!
Im a generous 12 in real life and the medium is a roomy fit. It’s so soft. I think you’ll be good with a medium like @Snowyowl78 says unless you want a really oversized baggier fit.

Countmeout · 10/01/2023 16:27

Fingers crossed @neveradullmoment99 .
My final order arrived.
Textured marl knitted tank in pear - I have been looking for a second tank all winter as I’ve worn the fair isle one so much. This one is very hairy but I think it’s a keeper, have only had a quick try on. Not generous in sizing but doesn’t blouson as some reviews suggest. Quite warm to wear I imagine.
Donegal wool scarf. Fell for this in store in the cumin. Slightly initially disappointing when I took it out as I remembered it as more zingy. Switched on the light (dark wet day here) and bing it’s as I remembered. I will just have to make sure I’m always standing under a light 😳
socks - love their socks ‘nuf said.

That’s me. Looking forward to new things Thursday. I think I also read there was a video soon.

AmethystMoonShine and Snowyowl78
Thank you both very much, sounds perfect.
I didn’t see the denim colour but opted for the truffle and the inkwell!

dudsville · 10/01/2023 17:20

@AFingerofFudge , i'm fairly low key but I think i would be beside myself at this point about that. These are expensive things. There must be way for InPost to rectify this, someone must be able to unlock it so you can get the things back at least. Have you pushed for this? What a pita to have to do anything though.

This highs and lows of toast sale shopping @neveradullmoment99 ,hope your order gets fulfilled!

Good choices @Countmeout , I wish i could pull off a tank the way you do, and that scarf is very nice!

I'm awaiting a final package that has the stack check dress, the coal/ochre blouson (fomo order, i like the look of the fabric and the sleeves but i know i won't like the detailing between the shoulder and neck), the montella cotton linen smock (i have a kin house dress that is too big, i might replace it with this and use Kin's fabric for something else) and the orange heathery wool - I've seen this in store and know the wool feels too rough for me, but i liked it as soon as it came out so i feel i should at just try it on. Although my credit limit is massive and I'm many thousands below it my card started, it needs a rest!

TempleofZoom · 10/01/2023 18:45

The Embroidered Kaftan and the Donegal jumper ( grey) arrived and before I even tried it on I knew I was keeping the jumper and the kaftan was going back.
I just didn't like it, ok fabric and I didnt like the embroidery, far too expensive.
Would rather have the £190 for something new.

The jumper is gorgeous, soft and squishy.
I've ordered the other colour Firewood and had a mad moment and ordered the pleated velvet skirt in bitter chocolate.

Snowyowl78 · 10/01/2023 19:53

@AFingerofFudge inhad one that was in a InPost locker since 22/12, and it was collected today! I emailed Toast about it and they suggested they were just ‘behind’ on collections. I don’t know who the courier but they don’t seem very reliable. I was thinking of asking them if I could go back and get it but then I checked again and they have been to get it . Hope yours get sorted soon!

AFingerofFudge · 10/01/2023 20:15

@Snowyowl78 and @dudsville I have actually contacted Toast and while I was on the phone I emailed them the proof of the packages I sent off using InPost on the 23rd and 30th December and they have refunded me. The one I posted off at the start of Jan they have asked I wait a little longer for the refund.

I did have a 4th order to return (!) and so I took the opportunity of quickly calling into my nearest Toast (not that close, about 40 minutes away but I was in the area for something else). Returned no problem, and they were unpacking the new clothes while I was there. They were trying to be a bit cagey as it's not supposed to be on the shop floor until Thursday so it was behind the till area but I managed to take a sneaky shot! It gives us a flavour anyhow Smile

Snowyowl78 · 10/01/2023 20:29

@AFingerofFudge that’s good news.
exciting pic. Did anyone get the email about the kindred live thing?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 10/01/2023 20:34

@Snowyowl78 , yes, I got the kindred live email this afternoon.

I also got a despatch notice for the first of my 4 ( Blush ) orders from yesterday.

faustina · 10/01/2023 20:43

@AFingerofFudge - very good sleuthing - thank you! Interested to see what all that navy is

Countmeout · 10/01/2023 20:43

Me too, looking forward to it.

Experiences of InPost seem to be dreadful. For all Royal Mail’s problems touch wood they’ve been fine with returns.

That looks very exciting @AFingerofFudge . I hope they show lots of clothes on actual people.

How do I become a kindred member??

exciting to see some more colour!

I’m sure we’ve seen that floral print before?

Here?

SmaugMum · 10/01/2023 21:16

And again!

Toastie warm in deep winter.
dudsville · 10/01/2023 21:17

@MiracleToast , you can buy it, there's an option online, or you get bestowed it (!) through what i can only pursue is frequent/copious purchases.

@AFingerofFudge , this thread is so fun. I love that you snuck a pic and posted here!

Livening purchases @TempleofZoom ! I had presumed those jumpers would be soft and squishy. I don't know why. I shall have a quick look!

SmaugMum · 10/01/2023 21:25

So, my final sale purchases have been:

Japanese incense (I’m a sucker for anything with Japanese writing on the box)

the velvet skirt in oil (I absolutely love velvet and I have been eyeing this up all season. I intend to dress it down and wear it for everyday with a Fair Isle sweater)

the multi-coloured Fair Isle sweater (I have a feeling that this will be a slow-burning heirloom jumper that will more than earn it’s £70 sale price tag)

the Fair Isle yoke neck sweater in blue (I adore this but the reviews seem to suggest that it comes up small so the medium I ordered may have to go back as I hate clothes that just fit where they touch; I like a bit of room and to be able to move easily and comfortably).0

MiracleToast · 10/01/2023 21:29

@dudsville i have the post pass but can’t work out how to get kindred. I’d say I must qualify soon based on my monthly charitable donations over the years 😅

dudsville · 10/01/2023 21:33

I'm so sorry, i confused the two! So then kindred is bestowed. You do sound like a frequent flyer, perhaps email then to ask?

dudsville · 10/01/2023 21:37

Loving your styling ideas @SmaugMum. I agree that is a great price for the 1st fair isle. I tried it but the colours didn't suit me. It's a wonderful jumper. I also tried the yolk fair isle in my usual size and it was v fitted, the chocolate is v nice but the blue is realy stunning, fingers crossed for you!

lordloveadog · 10/01/2023 21:50

Smaug those sound lovely!

The fair isle didn't suit me, but it's a beautiful jumper.

JustforToast · 10/01/2023 23:07

I finally got my sale stuff today. So in the interests of full information-sharing on this helpful thread:

  1. turrell gathered check dress. Lovely, although possible ironing risk. Im a non-Toast 10/12 and got a small. It’s my kind of roomy. Not sure about the gathers so might remove the tie
  2. half sleeve collared Hamptons top. Very nice. Looking forward to wearing it with voluminous trousers. I got a small and it’s fine- but a medium might be ideal.
  3. chie mihara sandals. Beautifully made. I’ll put them away and know I’ll be delighted when the sun comes out.

So, all keepers. And I think they all have that Toast, slightly different, edge

Countmeout · 11/01/2023 07:27

I love the velvet @SmaugMum . it would be worth having in the wardrobe just to stroke.
