I know last year's was a bit disappointing but I still decided to get one as theres been a few products over the last couple of years I've loved.

I don't think theres a thread for this so far, if there is please point me in the right direction.

If not then I'll kick off by saying I'm pleased with Door 1. I always like to try new cleansers and i love the eyecream from this brand.

I'm pleased too. I'm going to try and save them for a trip away but probably won't be able to resist!

How do you store them? In a soap box type thing?

Yeah I just got a soap box from Poundland. They dry quite quickly.

This is the equivalent of toothpaste day for me. Solid shampoos and conditioners never work for my hair. Oh well, got them out of the way!

I'm normally the same with solid shampoo but these ones seem to be good with my hair.

We’ve had these before and they didn’t work for me but my H loved them so they’ll go to him. Suppose it’s easier to get a lather on short hair.

ThereIbledit · 16/12/2022 17:39

I gave these away last time and the person I gave them to said they were lovely, so I might try them for myself.

Grimchmas · 17/12/2022 08:50

Today's is the first one I've been excited about for a while! Smells lovely and I can't wait to use it.

Pinenu · 17/12/2022 12:23

Today’s looks nice, the full size is 150ml and £7.49.

Plump82 · 17/12/2022 16:41

I'm pleased with today's as well. I'm a big fan of anything that can help my hair as it's highlighted and benefits from these kind of products. Also agree that it smells lovely.

Oh H&B you were doing so well!
This one went straight in the bin, cheap and nasty!

OP posts:
Zampa · 18/12/2022 11:34

I was initially quite excited by today's when I thought it might be silk. No such luck!

Pinenu · 18/12/2022 12:00

I think I’d rather have the awful coconut toothpaste than today’s item 😂

purplewolfie · 18/12/2022 12:03

Thought it might've been a nice hairband but no....DoD today

Bumblesaurus · 18/12/2022 13:06

This is one I was looking forward to..... it's awful!

mistyriver · 18/12/2022 17:35

Charity shop donation today.

Not been overly impressed this year. Glad I didn't pay full price for it. The odd nice product (face scrub particularly) but not sure I'll get next year

Grimchmas · 18/12/2022 18:45

I saw glimpses of your comments before I opened it - this really is tat 😳 it also doesn't even fit me 🤣

I considered giving it to my niece when I saw the size then remembered I'm not that cruel.

😂😂

It really isn’t great. If they must insist on giving it to us they could have at least put something else in like a sleep spray or overnight mask.

I paid full price and won’t be bothering next year. The first year was the best, good variety of items and vouchers to use for repurchases.

Pinenu · 19/12/2022 10:50

Today’s oil is nice enough but 10ml?

We received a full size jojoba oil in previous years, as well as a full size version of the hair mask we got on Saturday. Given this year is the most expensive the calendar has been, it’s odd that we’re getting such measly sizes.

purplewolfie · 19/12/2022 11:49

I still got about 50% of last year's massive bottle left. Also, not sure I'd use this on my face....!

FayCarew · 19/12/2022 12:05

Jojoba oil is great for the face @purplewolfie . You can also use it on hair.

I thought that myself. I'm still using the large one we already got. I think maybe this is to be used as a carrier oil for the essential oil. Pretty boring either way!

FayCarew · 19/12/2022 13:35

I prefer the boring (ones I'm already using) stuff. I've given some of those away as stocking fillers though.
Not opened all the boxes, but did rifle through for things I knew others would like to have and I was prepared to miss out on.
I bought the calendar because it looked like good value overall.
I'm a bit bored with having a big box cluttering the place now, Bah humbug.

NecklessMumster · 19/12/2022 13:47

I've been looking for this thread! I can't justify the £££advent calendars but do love my H &B one. I didn't want the vitamins...didn't have anyone to pass on to so put in with food bank donation rather than chuck out 😳Face mask prob go in charity bag but I like the rest so far, the face wash is lovely. But I was a bit 😐when I saw the bath salts in home bargains yesterday...£3.50 ish

NecklessMumster · 19/12/2022 13:48

And my box kept collapsing so I put it out for recycling yesterday, just put the boxes left to open to one side.

FayCarew · 19/12/2022 14:05

The bath salts where removed from a 'stocking' as the parcel was over the limit for weight. Glad it was that I took out now. The recipient can have it some other time.
Home Bargains sells things at good prices so I wouldn't let that put you off.
