I'm hoping others will join me to discuss liberty advent calendar. In line with other threads 0700 earliest for the days contents?

Since pregnancy face oils don't quite work for me but blimey I don't care - this smells so good it's going on my face.

Talisin · 03/12/2022 08:29

Not usually a fan of oils but my face is doing its yearly thing of trying to acclimate to the cold and going dry and tight feeling, so this looks just the stuff for me. Not during the day though - I don’t want to look ‘glazed’ as per the description!

MostDefinitelynotanAthlete · 03/12/2022 08:42

I'm not really a fan of face oils but this one smells amazing! Will definitely be trying it out. Very happy so far!

marmiteloversunite · 03/12/2022 08:46

My number 2 drawer was empty apart from tissue paper! Very disappointing at the price of the calendar. Hope it's not a sign of things to come (or not come)!

I'm so sorry to hear that! What a disaster. Definitely complain that is unacceptable at the price of the calendar.

I've not had a face oil before so was looking forward to this. The smell though 🤢 I'm not sure I'll be able to cope, I'll give it a few goes and if I can't manage to keep my nose closed it'll be given away, sadly.

I agree cockle and came here to see if others had said the same. I put two drops on the back of my hand and recoiled! Grin

I have an oil from Kiehl's which I love and has lasted me years so I might add this one to the stocking pile for my sister or one of the nieces.

ofCourseYouHave · 03/12/2022 09:59

I'm loving all of the items so far. I especially liked the Venn product. I've not tried any of their products before. Just resting with the face oil on now. I've got a bit of a cold, so I can't really smell it.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 03/12/2022 10:09

Not a great fan of ylangylang but the oil sounds like it will do me good! I shall use it at night. @Talisin 'glazed' for me interprets as 'shiney old bag'.

imp2007 · 03/12/2022 10:18

Was a bit meh about yesterdays but I'm happy with todays - like the smell!! Don't t normally use face oils looking forward to trying tonight!

Twinsandsome · 03/12/2022 14:03

Would someone mind putting up a pic of todays drawer? I’m following but don’t have liberty x

Zoetrope1 · 03/12/2022 14:05

I’m really happy with the first three days, I’ve already tried the Sunday Riley eye cream and the facial oil. Looking forward to trying the OI oil as I use the OI milk and love it. Just need to finish another serum before I start the Venn.

MissDollyMix · 03/12/2022 17:42

Been out all day so only just got round to opening todays drawer. Absolutely LOVE the smell of the oil. Looking forward to trying it. Tried the Venn cream last night and it was ok but not rich enough for my skin - felt quite tight and dry when I woke up this morning. Just as well because I couldn’t afford to repurchase! Loved the SR eye cream and haven’t tried the hair oil yet. Don’t usually get on with hair oil because my hair is so greasy so I might try it on DD instead.

TriciaMcMillan · 03/12/2022 17:57

I've been feeling a bit nauseous today, so now thinking today isn't the day to open the oil, it sounds a bit marmite, and if I don't love it, it might push me over the edge!

AnneShirleysNewDress · 03/12/2022 19:27

I tried the face oil under make up today. It's really lovely and definitely gave me a glow.

notanicepersonapparently · 03/12/2022 19:45

@AnneShirleysNewDress i did too. My BB cream seemed to glide on over it.

Sneakyblinders · 03/12/2022 20:23

Question for the thread! At what point of the day do you use face oil?

Since DC my skin has been awful. Noticeably bad, previously it was good with v little input!

imp2007 · 03/12/2022 20:28

@Sneakyblinders I'm not usually a face oil user but have put on this evening and feels lovely will probably keep using it in the evening. I think oil is meant to be final step in your routine but I'd say could use it AM or PM. Enjoy x

Twinsandsome · 03/12/2022 20:41

Thanks @Zoetrope1 xx

TabithaTittlemouse · 03/12/2022 22:45

The face oil is gorgeous!

LadyHester · 03/12/2022 23:17

Late to this party - but off to bed now and going to try the face oil under my night moisturiser. Slightly sinusy at the moment so perhaps I won’t notice the smell!

Lotsofpots · 03/12/2022 23:22

I mixed two drops of the oil in with my moisturiser this morning and it was gorgeous. Skin had a lovely glow for a good few hours after.

fitflopqueen · 04/12/2022 00:52

Joining in late as I received a surprise calendar on 2nd. I haven’t looked at contents so each day will be a treat but my day 3 is a candle, anyone else?
