Cult Beauty advent thread - it's finally time!

Thread for anyone who has the Cult Beauty 2022 advent calendar and would like to discuss contents.

In line with the waifs and strays thread I suggest no earlier than 7am for discussing that days contents?

I'm away for part of the month so might not be terribly active but we were cutting it fine for starting a thread!

This is definitely an unusual one - and yes who knew about that Nobel prize winning discovery?! Sounds interesting and I’m happy to give it a go. Maybe it’ll take a few years off me by Christmas…!

What a weird product! First I thought it was a fancy deodorant 😅 Then I thought it was a spray. But no, it’s basically another serum!

Another serum! I was determined to use things straight away from the calendar but there have been so many serums that I’ve been putting some of them in my stash.

I quite like the Vitamin D serum at night as it leaves mz skin lovely and soft but the packaging is so annoying! It just squirts all over the place, argh!

I love the CEO serum, will definitely repurchase!

I wonder what the next few days will bring? A cleanser would have been handy but I’m very particular about them (don’t like anything foaming), so maybe it’s not such a bad thing.

Agree with you on the cleansers @chloechloe. I would like some but don't like foaming. My preference is a decent balm. I'm currently using up a L'Occitane cleansing oil and I'm not a fan. It's hopeless on mascara and doesn't smell great.

What do you all think of the scent of the Zelens viton D serum? I really like the feel on my skin but I think it has a horrid scent. Fortunately it doesn't linger.

Well hopefully this is the last of the hair products! Needs to be left in so not sure I'll get round to using this

I think that’s us all stocked up on hair products for 2023 now! This is another mask I haven’t tried before so will add it to the stash and will definitely use at some point. Sad that we only have two days left now and regretting not buying an extra calendar for January!!

Glad to hopefully see the back of hair stuff. It'll no doubt get used eventually but not very exciting.

I'm going to open both remaining drawers tomorrow as Xmas day will be crazy and I'd like to have chance to take a proper look (and use any interesting products before the big day). Obviously I won't post any spoilers but I am excited to see what's in the last drawer.

I have a confession to make in that I actually took one of the main Xmas day items out at the end of November won't give away what it was but I knew it was in the calendar (and guessed it would be Xmas day) and didn't want to wait another month for it!

DP also took something else out for me and there hasn't been an empty draw yet so that must be in either tomorrow or Xmas day too.

Another meh for me. I really don't like the leave in masks.

@AllTheBlackCoffee snap I’m planning to do the same! I want to clear all the advent calendars out of the way for Christmas Day (I only have this one but as a family we have 6!) but I also think I’ll have more time tomorrow to enjoy it rather than rushing/forgetting on the big day. Excited!

Oooh @PanicAtTheBigTesco I'm intrigued now. Hope that means I have some exciting bits still to come and it's not another bloody serum .

I quite like Briogeo products. Although the tube is sealed I can still smell it and it smells divine, definitely more kiwi than avocado!

I’m also going to miss having a calendar to open, I really should have bought a cheaper one for January. I was sure there would be lots of Black Friday offers but then never found anything I wanted that was good.

I sort of wish I had a calendar for gloomy January too, but I now have such a big stash I didn’t think I could justify it!

Well, the size and shape of the tube this morning made me think “Finally! A cleanser!” so I was disappointed to find another hair mask.

If my calculations are correct, the running total of this calendar is now £872.74.

Did you know yesterday’s product, the anti-pollution serum, is worth £79.00?! 😳

Very happy with today! Biossance is one of my favourite skincare brands. They’ve been in a lot of advents but I like that different products have been included (unlike the Kate Somerville exfolikate for instance)

I haven't tried this bit have liked other Biossance products I've tried so happy with it.

I like the sound of rapid plumping!

I've never had any Biossance products so looking forward to giving this a go.

This looks great, going to leave it for now though til I get through my other open serums.

I was expecting a candle today but should have known it would be another serum 😀 I’m happy with this though, plumping is always good!

I am going to look forward to opening the big drawer tomorrow when I get 5 minutes’ peace! My CB order also arrived today including the goody bag so I might open that once I’ve finished the Xmas prep! Fortunately I bought some
cleansers!

I laughed at yet another serum! I do love skincare so it’s all good, but WOW I do not know where I’m going to stash all these serums.

I haven’t opened many of the products, but of the ones I have tried:

Sachajuan scalp shampoo & conditioner - really like, might repurchase
Sunday Riley Vitamin C - the “glow” that Vit c is supposed to provide always eludes me, but I like the formulation so thumbs up
Zelens Vit D oil - I like that it’s thin and easily absorbed, but smells gross so won’t be a repurchase
Augustinus Bader Rich Cream - lovely, but soooo expensive it won’t be a repurchase
Roen highlighter stick - very pleasantly surprised by how much I like this!

Christmas Eve had to be another serum right?! I’m super happy with this one though - sounds right up my street and the bottle is huge!
I’ve also opened tomorrows drawer so I don’t want to give anything away other than to say I’ve loved this calendar and I’m sad it’s over! I had space nk last year and I think CB this year has knocked that out one of the park!!

A fabulous final day for CB. This is my 3rd CB year and to me it's definitely the best. Merry Christmas everyone. We're all going to look fabulous in 2023. 💄🌲
