Any interest in a opening/review thread?

I tend to open early.
No photos until after 0700?

Morning all.

I've used this before and it was ok. Useful but not exciting for me.

Mrcpy · 01/12/2022 08:04

I'm looking forward to using the Olaplex tonight! Never used it before, but I had a sample of a different brand before and it worked really well.

RingofBrodgar · 01/12/2022 08:23

Love this! But know adult daughter loves it more, so saved for her stocking!

MyOtherCarIsAHearse · 01/12/2022 08:30

I have a few bottles of this and it’s very good. Since I’m on a no-spend this year, it will work fine for me. A dull, yet very effective staple. Not a bad start.

PomRuns · 01/12/2022 09:18

A wow product would have been nice - lots of great things to come though.

This is a staple for me so pleased to see it. Agree with the comments that it is difficult to find the time to use it but in the spirit of advent I will make time tonight . I am vowing to try all products on the day this year if possible instead of saving them up for a special occasion which is my usual trick. Hopefully we will all look and smell gorgeous by Xmas day!

Lookingformymarbles · 01/12/2022 10:37

Sort of happy with this mornings gift-I already use it (& highly rate it) but it's ££ so good it's a full size product

@Stokey you don't need to wash your hair before applying, on advice of my hairdresser I just dampen it with a water spray, comb through, add product, comb through, leave for 10mins or longer then wash

Dailymash · 01/12/2022 10:42

Anybody interested in having a running total? I’m happy to keep track.

This size is currently £28 on Lookfantastic taking our running total to £28 😁

Mrcpy · 01/12/2022 10:54

@Lookingformymarbles thanks for the tip about spraying instead of washing hair

@Dailymash I’d find that running total interesting - great idea

Peridot1 · 01/12/2022 11:04

Yes thanks for the tip about spraying hair. Great idea.

FaoinDrualus · 01/12/2022 11:19

I'm very happy with this - my hairdresser had suggested I use some kind of hair mask so I'm going to give this a try and see how I get on with it. Would not have paid 28 for something I wasn't sure of, so this is a good starter for me. It seems to be just once a week and I think I should be able to manage to fit in the extra 10 mins once a week, especially if there are visible results!

Thanks @Dailymash - a running total would be really interesting.

Stokey · 01/12/2022 11:48

@Lookingformymarbles ooh that's a great tip. Will give it a go tomorrow, thanks.

mangoforbreakfast · 01/12/2022 11:56

Not super exciting but I am looking forward to trying it over the weekend. I do enjoy a hair mask now and again and wouldn’t have spent so much money on something I was unsure about.

Mrcpy · 01/12/2022 19:42

I tried the Olaplex today. It’s a fairly enjoyable process, but I’m not sure if it’s improves my hair? I have straight hair which is normally manageable so maybe there are minimal additional benefits to be gained. How much do you guys use each time?

namechangedyetagain · 01/12/2022 21:02

Can I join? Bought this calendar as a little treat to myself after another year with another bereavement.

Quite pleased to see this this morning but what does it do and how do you use it? Didn't manage a proper look today.

Excited to see what we have tomorrow!

PomRuns · 01/12/2022 22:03

Hello @namechangedyetagain I've not used before either, look at the post above from marbles with helpful advice.

Looking forward to tomorrow!

How do you use it and what is it supposed to do?

RosettaStormer · 01/12/2022 23:18

Sorry just seen the pose explaining above

pattyparsnip · 02/12/2022 07:09

Hmm not excited about todays offering . I can never seem to use these things up .

Stoic123 · 02/12/2022 07:23

I have the full size version which is huge. Too big to take anywhere so useful to have this travel size.

Agree not exciting.

Mrcpy · 02/12/2022 07:28

I like the powder! Believe it or not I didn’t have a face powder until now 😅Going to put it on for work today

Chickydoo · 02/12/2022 07:32

Not excited about today's item. Have tried before and it's something I just don't use.

PomRuns · 02/12/2022 07:41

Joining in the not excited club - I’ll try it in case it’s a miracle worker.

OP posts:
Talisin · 02/12/2022 07:43

Yeah, also not excited but I do use setting powder so it will be used eventually.

Roundaboot · 02/12/2022 07:43

There's a lot about "blurring effects" in the blurb for this, so I'm excited to try it! I use setting powder frequently. I had a small pot of the ByTerry one which is amazing but when it ran out I went back to using a cheapy one and you can definitely tell the difference.
