Gucci Sneakers on Finance?

RaspberryBlu · 26/11/2022 18:01

Does anyone know where I can get Gucci Ace Bee on a pay monthly deal? I would love them before Christmas but don't want to spend significant amounts right before Christmas as would rather have money for spontaneous trips and events. It'd be great to split over 6 or 10 months.

If you can't afford to buy expensive trainers out right, there really is no need to buy them. They are just trainers, why go into debt?

mynameischloe · 26/11/2022 18:05

I'm afraid I agree with PP. Sorry that's not the advice you were looking for.

DesignerRecliner · 26/11/2022 18:05

In the nicest possible way, why do you need Gucci trainers if you can't afford them? They're not very durable and go faded/grey within a couple of months. Not worth the money at all, and even less so when you can't afford it.

Discoh · 26/11/2022 18:05

If this is real then it's very upsetting

Comedycook · 26/11/2022 18:05

Wow... getting into debt to buy trainers?! Are you mad?!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/11/2022 18:08

I’m afraid I agree with @Moonshine74, @RaspberryBlu - going into debt for expensive trainers doesn’t sound like a good idea right now. Using credit means you will pay more than the retail cost of the trainers so, unless they are on some truly amazing Black Friday offer, it does not make financial sense.

How much are these trainers, and why are they so special to you?

RaspberryBlu · 26/11/2022 18:08

A lot of places do 0% interest finance. I could buy them outright but want the money in the bank this side of Christmas as explained above.

£560 for trainers? That you have to get on credit?

🙈

Applecottagetree · 26/11/2022 18:11

NAP do Klarna

Covetthee · 26/11/2022 18:12

Why don’t you just buy om credit card and then pay off after xmas if the issues is money this side of xmas?

Notjusta · 26/11/2022 18:13

While I agree with PP that designer trainers are not the best thing to get into debt over - if you can get PayPal credit loads of places accept PayPal and some offer 0% payment plans with it.

Rosie22xx · 26/11/2022 18:13

I wouldn't buy from gucci as they are also a part of this whole balenciaga scandal. Don't pump money into these businesses, they're criminals in plain sight. It's pretty horrific.

QuestionableMouse · 26/11/2022 18:14

You're mad to spend £500+ on trainers.

Dazedandconfused10 · 26/11/2022 18:14

Zero interest on purchases credit card would surely be the way to do it?

RaspberryBlu · 26/11/2022 18:15

I do understand these comments aren't meant to be unkind or judgey and I understand where you are coming from and why you've all commented advising against it but I think I've explained clearly my reasons for opting to spread the cost in this instance.

I wouldn't encourage others to do the same if they cant afford to but my financial situation personally is great (feels vulgar to mention this during COL problems) and I've been at the bottom opposite end of things when younger with bailiffs etc. but life is a lot different these days. I have a trip planned in December that I really want them for. I've coveted them for years (don't care if others don't like them!!) and now they're the next thing on my short wishlist.

Why do you want Gucci trainers? I don't get the status thing of having people see you in such amazing trainers. (Genuinely haven't seen the trainers) but I just don't get the mindset.

Covetthee · 26/11/2022 18:18

OP you should know that as soon as you mention designer on this board you get your ass handed to you, surprised no one has mentioned just to get primark ones.

paypal is a good option too. I’m pretty sure net a porter etc do finance or klarna.

Ihatecocomelon · 26/11/2022 18:21

Lmao sound like a junkie friend I know. Doesn't think anything of spaffing 200 quid on cocaine. Moans about having to pay for things that don't take klarna etc. Gucci trainers ffs

If your financial situation is now ‘great’ could you not use some of your savings?

TabithaTittlemouse · 26/11/2022 18:23

Or your credit card?

Blemaesosej · 26/11/2022 18:24

Your financial situation isn’t ‘great’ if you can’t afford to buy them outright.

Prinnny · 26/11/2022 18:24

To answer you’re actual question OP, flannels do Klarna and I think they stick them? Or try netaporter that’s where I got mine from but not sure if they do the finance thing.

Warning though, they’re so uncomfortable! My DH has a pair too and we call them the shoes of death!

Bit of a reach, no? OPs explained she can afford them and it's trainers not drugs

HelpMeCope85 · 26/11/2022 18:34

OP don’t know how you can be in a great financial situation if you don’t have the money for the trainers. To buy those trainers you need to think what proportion of my income is the whole amount of a regular pair of trainers - say £80-£100. Not boasting a pair of Gucci trainers is c.9% of my NET monthly income I wouldn’t be spending 9% of net monthly income on a pair of shoes!

Your financial situation is not that great or you wouldn’t be asking the question.

Being financially comfortable would at least mean being able to drop £600 on a luxury item in mid November and not even think about what the balance of your accounts will be for upcoming trips and Christmas.

Whether the trainers are worth the money or not is a separate question.
