Gucci Sneakers on Finance?

RaspberryBlu · 26/11/2022 18:01

Does anyone know where I can get Gucci Ace Bee on a pay monthly deal? I would love them before Christmas but don't want to spend significant amounts right before Christmas as would rather have money for spontaneous trips and events. It'd be great to split over 6 or 10 months.

I don’t think you are in as good a financial position as you believe you are OP, if all of your savings are inaccessible. Due to this comment I’m going to assume either a LISA or similar (in which case you’d either be better off putting the trainer money towards a house deposit) or stocks and shares (which most likely aren’t performing great at the moment, and you could be losing out by not having at least an emergency fund in cash savings).

Anyway OP, I’m sure if you google the shoes there will be plenty of sites selling them that offer ClearPay and Klarna….

Hooverphobe · 27/11/2022 08:32

How old are you OP? I ask because I read the other day that “young people” (of which I am not) routinely expect to buy stuff in instalments and it’s just a sign of the times.

evilharpy · 27/11/2022 08:35

Net a Porter and Paypal buy now pay later? I think they do interest free over 4 months.

Stayathomenamechange · 27/11/2022 10:09

You could get some Adidas Gazelle or Samba which I reckon would do the same job, look box-fresh and stripy and sleek, and not have to go into debt. (NOT the gucci collab ones)

I agree - white trainers are going to take a battering no matter how careful you are so unless you are literally rolling in filthy lucre it’s a spend too far - that’s financing them aside. Gazelles and Sambas are far more timeless IMO.

VisitingThem · 27/11/2022 10:52

You said you want to pay them off over 10 months though, so your finances aren't actually great?

If you can afford to pay for them in jan buy them on a credit card in December, no interest if you pay it off straight away.

RaspberryBlu · 27/11/2022 11:49

I really don't understand why people are judging my financial situation! I'm happy whether or not I meet other people's expectations or not. If I want to treat myself it doesnt really matter to anyone how I fund that, is it? This isn't AIBU.

I'm in my thirties for PP who (fairly) asked about age.

OP posts:
wildpeaches · 27/11/2022 17:01

Get them then! You can use Google to find out where you can get them on finance. Or put them on your credit card. You shouldn't need to worry about what the majority of MN think if you've got money to burn on some naff £500 trainers.

You would be much better asking this question on the Purse Forum or similar where posters generally have much higher amounts of disposable income. Any threads related to designer goods are guaranteed to bring out the most ridiculous responses on MN, every single time.

Plenty of us on here have enough disposable income to buy designer goods.
Unlike OP

I wouldn't buy from gucci as they are also a part of this whole balenciaga scandal. Don't pump money into these businesses, they're criminals in plain sight. It's pretty horrific.

What balenciaga scandal?

RampantIvy · 27/11/2022 17:17

It is one thing to pay for shoes in instalments out of necessity because you have no money and no shoes, and another thing to go into debt to buy what would be considered a frivolous and unnecessary pair of shoes that you don't really need.

I think most posters are questioning the second part.

Rosie22xx · 27/11/2022 17:21

@NotDonna balenciaga latest campaign promoting and they're involved in child exploitation, showing images of children with bondage/bdsm items. Other brands such and gucci and celebrities like Kim k, all know about how the industry is involved in child exploitation. Campaign images even showing legal documents mentioning this.

Stevie6 · 27/11/2022 17:26

What is wrong with people? Thought this was style and beauty not cost of living ffs! So much judgement, and even if the OP was getting up to her eyeballs in debt surely as an adult she can make that decision for herself?

As pp as suggested try Flannels

Artygirlghost · 27/11/2022 17:28

Beyond silly ...or a troll.

whataboutary · 27/11/2022 17:33

Hi Op I would second the flannels option.
I actually get 20% off at flannels, it's a shame we are complete strangers otherwise I'd offer to get them for you but for obvious reasons that won't work Grin

They quite often have a discount code though.
Or at the mo I think they have £100 voucher if you spend £500 or something.

TellMeWhere · 27/11/2022 17:52

Gucci themselves do Klarna, if you're that way inclined.

PritiPatelsMaker · 27/11/2022 17:53

I've got wide feet and my £10 Primark trainers are so comfortable.

Try them instead Grin

PritiPatelsMaker · 27/11/2022 17:57

Why am I getting an advert for Hotter shoes in the middle of this thread?

I've got one for the local Nike store where DD picked up a lovely pair of trainers recently for £9.

Ihatecocomelon · 26/11/2022 18:21

Lmao sound like a junkie friend I know. Doesn't think anything of spaffing 200 quid on cocaine. Moans about having to pay for things that don't take klarna etc. Gucci trainers ffs

Junkies don't take much coke do they? Usually heroin.

Also, eh?

PritiPatelsMaker · 27/11/2022 18:02

The drug of choice is usually regional and socio-economic surely?

Bumzoo · 27/11/2022 18:48

Any drug addict is a junkie

Buy them if you love them OP. Klarna direct with Gucci.

LittleGwyneth · 27/11/2022 20:13

I have them, I've worn them non stop and they still look pretty good. If you really love them then do it.

tunthebloodyalarmoff · 27/11/2022 20:16

RaspberryBlu · 26/11/2022 18:08

A lot of places do 0% interest finance. I could buy them outright but want the money in the bank this side of Christmas as explained above.

Interest free credit card. But if you can't afford theM you shouldn't buy them don't be materialistic it's not what life is about and it's ugly
