I do wonder if that was a Saudi gift and hence it not being seen?
Although I seem to remember a rumour that Charles bought it. Anyone else remember this?

lipstickwoman · 04/12/2022 21:20

I was wondering if it had since become a bit insensitive to wear.

I also get the impression (probably wrongly) that Royal bling isn't to Kate's taste. Whereas I'd be driving them made wanting to furtle through them all and wear whatever they'd allow me too, she seems to prefer different more modern designs. As she is entitled to of course

Onprozacandmyhighhorse · 04/12/2022 21:23

I remember when Diana wore the emerald choker it was with a sort of teal/ turquoise evening dress and it really didn't match at all. But the choker and the dress were so lovely it didn't really matter.

gluenotsoup · 04/12/2022 21:32

Ooh, Zara looks lovely there! That’s definitely a good colour on her.
I think we’ll see more gems and jewels now she’s PoW, hope the strathmore rose reappears soon.

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 04/12/2022 21:37

I feel a bit bad making it about Diana again, but it’s interesting to look back sometimes. She wore it a lot.

Kate will make it her own in time.

Anyway. I think a lot of the bling wouldn’t have been appropriate in the past when Kate wasn’t PoW. HMQ first, and then Camilla. Now it’s all shifted, I think we will see much more.

Mary at a Christmas choir concert, and Daisy visiting a Danish church in London, both in lovely reds.

I like Daisy’s colour scheme.

Mary looks good in red. Is Christian a giant??

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 04/12/2022 22:26

Either that or maybe Mary is an elf?

justasking111 · 04/12/2022 22:33

Joachim and family are off to the USA to live. I wonder if their style will change clothes wise

AdaColeman · 04/12/2022 22:45

Margrethe looks stylish there in her red outfit, with her titfer at a jaunty tilt! She was at the Danish church to celebrate her golden jubilee, and also to see the chasuble she had designed and embroidered for the church.

She made the vestment for Danish church during the height of the pandemic, so it was sent rather than delivered personally, so this was Margrethe's first chance to see the chasuble being worn.

AdaColeman · 04/12/2022 23:13

Margrethe was wearing her Order of the Garter, probably because its red cross matched her scarlet outfit! Xmas Wink Xmas Wink Xmas Wink

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 04/12/2022 23:55

I did wonder whether she’d built the whole outfit around it! Xmas Grin

I think on a personal level Daisy is probably very happy to be able to be back in London again in the run-up to Christmas; she has for many years kept a tradition of coming to London to do her Christmas shopping.

Not surprised at that and it's probably for the best. A fresh start might do them good, especially the kids.

Love that bright red jacket colour. I also like EBGM's red blouse and skirt combo.

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 05/12/2022 09:08

Mary’s outfit is really nice, definitely something I’d wear.

Princess Benedikte has also been out and about, wearing a fabulously festive cape.🎄

Ooh, love Benedickte's red cape! Gorgeous colour. Is Daisy in London?

OP posts:
AdaColeman · 06/12/2022 16:43

@Maireas Yes, Margrethe is in London, see posts above from the evening of Sunday 4th about her visit.
I love that she is looking at a book about Putin (if I've recognised those eyes correctly) in Hatchards!

I like Benedikt's outfit too, lovely colour combination, and contrasting textures with the fabrics, also it manages to look elegant AND snug at the same time.

TheGander · 06/12/2022 16:59

Is that her security detail on the left of the pic ?

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 06/12/2022 17:06

I think that’s more likely to be a Lady in waiting/companion or friend. Otherwise they’d like be more attentive to what’s going on around them. Security detail is probably keeping a slight distance.

Yes, well spotted! That's a Special Agent, code name Bookworm, a master of disguise.
👀

Omg I love that red cape. Want it!
Kate would look lovely in a cape. I must suggest it next time I see her 😉
