Hello! New thread....thanks for the title suggestions!
Fingers crossed for some good festive style!

I love Meghan's dress and shoes - back in her trusty green! Kate's coat is new... I mean for FFS, she has a ridiculous amount of green coats!!! (I do like the new one though 👀) I quite like the tartan dress! Not a fan of her basketball outfit at all, overdressed.

I hope she begins to break away from a dependance on "Tribute to Diana" jewellery, and starts to forge her own Princess of Wales independent style.

But it's the newspapers, especially the DM that bang on abut "tributes" and very time she wears something one else worn by Diana it even a spotted dress or something vaguely similar to one once worn by Diana.
The jewellery is inherited (presumably by W who gifts it to his wife) and if you have certain items in your collection you wear them!
Diana had some amazing pieces of personal jewellery outside the Royal collection, many of which have never been seen again - whether they all got handed down to the boys or other family members like her sisters ended up with some of them I have no idea. I can see why Catherine would hesitate to wear some of the big iconic pieces just because of this narrative but if W has them presumably they are available if she wanted wi wear them.

I'm thinking of that socking great sapphire surrounded by diamonds that she often wore. Or I think I remember a rather nice set gifted by Saudi's for her wedding.

These ones. I think the earnings were part of the set and sometimes have a second dangly but added so if these are the earrings Catherine sometimes wears then I'm guessing she has the necklace but steers clear of attracting the comments that would follow.

I agree with you, @ShamedBySiri . It's all so mawkish. Of course Kate will wear some of Diana's jewellery, it would be a waste to keep it locked away! She's had some of it reworked, though. The sapphire earrings that were large studs Kate had made into drops.

I love Meghan's green dress but €1255 is steep for jersey and tbh it looks like it could've come from The Fold or Cefinn. Not cheap brands but not Armani prices either. And another new green coat Kate? Were the 20 that you already have not enough?

There is nothing about this outfit I like.

I like the colour and the bag and the shirt. She's very straight a bit of a waist would help her overall look I think.

I ldo ike the colour combination and I like the style of the blouse, the suit is a bit meh !

I like the colour of the suit - we're always saying how good those berry tones look on her - but I don't like the blouse at all (neither the colour nor the pussy bow style). I'd far prefer to see a simple fitted sweater or silk shell top under that suit.

The trousers look like those I wore to work in the 90s and although the colour of the suit is ok, to wear with a pale pink blouse is just so boringly predictable.

I'm glad she's wearing trouser suits, definitely a more modern and stylish look. The colour is great, but I'm not sure about the fit of the trousers. I agree with pp that a plain shirt or fine knit underneath would have been better.

Well, the poor woman can't win! No one like her skinnies but when she tries something more fluid, that's too 90s!

I think the suit looks better in this shot. The colour is really good on her but the combination of pussy-bow blouse and pantsuit makes me think she's engaging in CPV cosplay!

I like to burgundy suit too, I'm quite into wide legged trousers atm. Not sure about the blouse but pink is so not my colour so maybe that is swaying me

Agree I has them in the 90s....and I still love them! 😂 But agree re the pussy bow and the overall look being too much. (I wore my 90s black ones with a light Oasis v neck in teal-when I liked Oasis!)
