(Off to look at Malina 😆)

KillingMeDeftly · 24/11/2022 19:59

CPV's one-sleeves dress reminds me of one Diana once wore.

AdaColeman · 24/11/2022 20:05

Kate & Wills are off on a trip to Boston in the first days of December, so it will be interesting to see Kate's style for the US of A.

Secretly hoping she wears a Stars and Stripes dress.....only joking! Wink Wink

AdaColeman · 24/11/2022 20:19

CPV's dress is a poor fit, and poorly made, look at side seam of the skirt how badly it is ruched. What is her dresser thinking, letting her go out like that?

KillingMeDeftly · 24/11/2022 20:20

I've now got visions of Kate turning up looking like this!

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 24/11/2022 20:25

I think the ruching is intentional isn’t it? It’s on the bodice as well...but I agree it’s not great. It looks shoddy.

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 24/11/2022 20:37

Oh, the brand is By Malina. Victoria’s worn it rather a lot over the years.

paradyning · 24/11/2022 21:28

How did we miss emerald buttons thingies on KC!! Good spot! Those are cracking.

That first Erdem dress is quite nice. Can't remember that one.

The middle one she ballsed up with the shoes and the last one the buttons matched her ring. Iirc imho.

paradyning · 24/11/2022 21:33

Mathilde smashing it here.
V similar to Kate's without the shoulder bling.

I'll grant you that those are the least worst Erdems @Serenster Grin

The best thing about that first one (floral at Wimbledon I think) is her hair - I wish she'd go back to that length and colour.

DisforDarkChocolate · 24/11/2022 21:36

I prefer Mathilde's, lovely color too and much better without the kiddy glitter.

StartupRepair · 24/11/2022 21:36

Back to Sophie. The Queen was so intentional with her jewellery, always wearing something relevant to an occasion or a person. I'm sure she left Sophie some lovely pieces which we will see gradually.

Wow, Mathilde looks magnificent! She is really on good form at the moment. I love the diamanté trim on the dress.

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 24/11/2022 21:49

@StartupRepair that’s my feeling too.

GrouchyKiwi · 24/11/2022 21:55

Mathilde looks amazing.

Eaumyword · 24/11/2022 22:01

I'm joining in the Mathilde love! It is slightly reminiscent of Mary Poppins, but that's no bad thing in my book.
Lovely colour and style.

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 24/11/2022 16:58

That's believed to be the case.

I can’t help feeling sorry for Fergie. She seems to have been left in a very precarious situation after her divorce.

justasking111 · 24/11/2022 23:08

Charles is running out of royals to get on with the job. Harry and family, Andrew and family, non working, Anne alone. So it's Charles Camilla, William Catherine, Edward and Sophie.

IMO he's running on a skeleton staff, he and especially Camilla are pensioners, health issues.

The firm needs to think hard about this

KnickerlessParsons · 25/11/2022 00:13

I think the Duke of Gloucester still works representing the monarch too. He came to the DDs' school not so long ago.

SenecaFallsRedux · 25/11/2022 00:26

I think the Duke of Kent still does some public engagements as well.

maisiedaisy64 · 25/11/2022 00:45

On the topic of working royals, I went down a rabbit hole lately, and found myself on the Wikipedia pages of the Kents and the Gloucesters. There was a serious amount of engagements listed for them, I never realised they were so active. If the monarchy is slimmed down, I think the remaining few are going to be overworked!

I think if they are going to slim down it means the core RF working only and how they work with charities will have to change.

I'd like to see them rotate charities, so instead of taking on a role for life they engage with most charities for a set period ie a big campaign, major anniversary and then step away and work with another charity.

I believe William is already talking about this modus operandi for the future.

The monarchy is slimming itself down due to age and natural passage of time. It must be quite a concern for William and Catherine as they face a future with pretty much the whole show in their shoulders.

I am a royalist, I like having a monarchy. God forbid we have a succession of ex prime ministers rocking up to Buck Pal to host State dinners and rootle through the Tiara collection (not for the men obv! But wives..) while they are there.

Heaven forbid some terrible disaster take out the Cambridges. Even if H&M would want to step up I doubt many people would be happy about that. Then we are on to the York's. Surely Zara and Peter being untitled citizens couldn't do it even if they would want to which I doubt.
Lady Louise or brother James are probably the only realistic back ups.

It makes me feel quite nervous sometimes. I think HMQ was right. They shouldn't all fly together.
