Because I think this is not nice. It makes the lady look like a doily.

These days, I'd look more like Robert Smith's grandmother if she got drunk and fell into the Christmas tree after a couple of sweet sherries and the King's Speech

😂Robert Smith's grandmother would be a brilliant Christmas guest

I think it would look better on someone flat chested.

Yes flat chested and a very slim it might work. Then again it might not.

lunathestral · 09/11/2022 10:14

I really like it but it wouldn't suit me at all

the80sweregreat · 09/11/2022 10:16

It looks like the kind of dress Carrie Johnson seems to favour , but she is slim and it would work!

catfunk · 09/11/2022 10:30

I don't like it and think it's really unflattering on anyone with a bust

RaRaRaspoutine · 09/11/2022 10:40

Yes BUT the neckline would have to be completely different. So, technically, no.

queenatom · 09/11/2022 10:56

One of my coworkers has this dress and looks amazing in it. Not for me but it's 100% her style and she pulls it off amazingly.

Zipps · 09/11/2022 12:32

Fugly and the price is ridiculous. It looks really scruffy and like it would irritate the wearer which fortunately would never be me.

DarkKarmaIlama · 09/11/2022 12:33

It’s just awful and someone fat and middle aged would wear it thinking that it was a flattering choice.

FayCarew · 09/11/2022 12:42

The dress is ok but why has she got two pilllows shoved down the front. Are saggy boobs the new fashion trend?

ThunderMoo · 09/11/2022 12:42

@FayCarew Rude

That's exactly it.

I love the open toed sandals with tights for party season.

If we all liked the same thing how dull would life be?

WimpoleHat · 09/11/2022 13:57

Why is she wearing it with what look like my DD’s navy school socks? It wouldn’t be for me, but might look nice (as others have said) on someone tall and skinny. But not with the school socks.

Mummieslncorporated · 10/11/2022 06:50

It has two things I like. The colour and the understated pattern on the fabric.

It's a shame that the fabric wasn't put to better use, because it could have been something lovely. Instead....

RedDiamond · 10/11/2022 10:10

@MNHQ why is this thread "promoted by Mumsnet"?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/11/2022 16:28

I'd have happily worn it with DMs as a flat chested wanna-be goth 17 year old. Now, I think it's hideous. The model really needs a better bra - she's young and slim, but her bust looks all wrong and I don't think it's only the dress' fault.

I like the colour but the fabric looks cheap and nasty and it's just not very nice. I suspect they're trying to rip-off the designer who gets mentioned on here who does what looks like toilet roll holder dresses. I forget the name, but they're horrible imo.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/11/2022 16:28

And the tights and sandals make a bad look substantially worse.

ShakeYourFeathers · 10/11/2022 18:52

Awful! My boobs would hate me. If it was just a skirt it would be better

dontgobaconmyheart · 10/11/2022 18:53

I don't feel that strongly. I think it's a few adjustments away from being lovely, but as it is it would be a no for me. I have a shorter torso and a fair size bust and the way the dress is cut around the neck that would do me no favours at all, just as it does none for their beautiful model in that area. I think you would need a very slim frame and arms for it to look at its best, but if you did, then it would look fab.

The model in the black version suits the shape of the cut much better.

kateandme · 11/11/2022 03:10

Yea it’s lovely.

BirdWatch · 11/11/2022 03:24

I don't like it.

Catslovepies · 11/11/2022 06:16

I do like it in black (but not green) however the sleeve length is awkward, I wouldn't wear it as it wouldn't suit me (short and a bit overweight), and I wouldn't pay that much for it.

ReallyITV · 11/11/2022 06:21

I know people who could pull that off. Not my style. I’m like the model in the boob department. Generally Boden has 15% off offers so you’d get it sub £200 but still expensive.

Aprilx · 11/11/2022 06:33

It is a bit too frilly for my taste, but it is not the worst dress I have ever seen.
