Because I think this is not nice. It makes the lady look like a doily.

The shoes and hosiery are wrong for it.

Thursdaydream · 08/11/2022 18:22

And in 100% polyester! Not a chance

hummerbird · 08/11/2022 18:27

No, it just doesn't work for this middle-aged lady. Why opaques? Just why in a party dress? A 'party' implies fun, and risk. Maybe sex. Opaques signal that that shop is closed we are only interested in comfort. Dull.

RudsyFarmer · 08/11/2022 18:28

Awful.

SallyWD · 08/11/2022 18:28

Awful!

mathanxiety · 08/11/2022 18:30

Not too bad if your boobs were small.

The model's are not.

mathanxiety · 08/11/2022 18:31

And what's with the tights and sandals?

maplesaucewithbacon · 08/11/2022 18:33

I'd wear it if I needed to go to a fancy dress party as a Christmas tree.

Yup. This. ^^

FunnyTalks · 08/11/2022 18:35

I kind of like it! Love the colour and the skirt end, the neck is a bit too fussy and I dislike the sheer sleeves. A simpler top end would have looked incredible with the skirt.

I've a figure similar to the models and the boob comments depress me. Or maybe the lack of boob space in dresses depresses me! Would a lower waist have looked better? It is so difficult to find flattering dresses if you don't want to look medieval /wench-like but equally don't feel like a wrap dress sort of person.

Cosycover · 08/11/2022 18:38

Boden is truly awful.

gogohmm · 08/11/2022 18:38

There were lots of this style in the shops, I do not like!

CharlotteStreet · 08/11/2022 18:41

Well I'm the one who bought the "Eurovision" union jack skirt that everyone was laughing at a few years back, so best not ask me.

itsonlynovemberfgs · 08/11/2022 18:42

oh god no. Looks ITCHY! But I have a neighbour who is an instamum who would wear this. she is obsessed with looking what she calls cool, and only wears flouncy midi dresses - she would be all over this apart from she only shops at asos and primark. I know all this (and hate myself for knowing it!) as I can't stop following her now as I am obsessed with the utter madness of her life of shopping and posting on social media, I can't believe people live like this. But she is EXACTLY the sort of person who would love this! (Its brummymummyof2)

OnABreeze · 08/11/2022 18:42

No I wouldn't but Boden has bloody horrific dowdy clothes.

NukaColaQuantum · 08/11/2022 18:43

Yes, for Halloween, as a Victorian ghost.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 08/11/2022 18:59

Good heavens no! That’s horrific.

I'd wear it if I needed to go to a fancy dress party as a Christmas tree.

🤣 very true !

BoudiccaVibes · 08/11/2022 19:04

Yes! I absolutely love it.

Purpleavocado · 08/11/2022 19:05

My dh would laugh if I wore that. And why are rara skirts back???

Milesty1 · 08/11/2022 19:06

i like the prairie style usually but this is horrible. I think it’s the mixture of the sheer arms, yuck. I always think if it doesn’t even suit the model what Hope do I have 😂

VioletCharlotte · 08/11/2022 19:06

I love the colour and like the style of the skirt and would wear it with DMs . The top is weird though.

StPaulandTheBrokenBones · 08/11/2022 16:52

I just think it's got way too much going on. If I wore it I would look like Hamble from Play School.

😅😅 I didn't like it but who wouldn't want to look like Hamble?? 😉 Style goals surely....

Came here to say this! £220 for polyester - it’s horrible.

CockSpadget · 08/11/2022 19:21

I love it. It would look great on my niece with docs and an oversized cropped jumper.

hostawater · 08/11/2022 19:38

Why are all party dresses being styled with black opaques and gold open toed platform 70s sandals this winter? Me + Em is awash with it too.
