It's a weird brown colour on my phone.

It's too toddler on the beach sun suit for me I'm afraid

This.
I was just thinking it looks like DD2’s beach romper. Sans straps.
What a strange length.

I love it when you scold with the bold @LadyEloise1! Makes me want to say naughty things so you can scold me too!😂
I imagine it said with a lovely Irish lilt!

It’s a very dark green. Possibly a necklace with a greenish stone in too

gluenotsoup · 24/10/2022 13:16

I was trying to be positive about it, as I don’t think it’s got many redeeming features 😂

NiqueNique · 24/10/2022 13:38

I like it. I kinda like that ‘everything’s thrown on, I don’t even care if it looks a bit silly as I can carry it off perfectly well’ vibe - even though, as someone said above, it’ll be a highly curated look. If I lived in California (not that I ever, ever would as it’s not my kind of place at all!) I’d probably dress similarly.

I thought she was wearing a toe ring too but on closer inspection I think it’s actually a feature on the sandals.

The hat is my favourite element. Love it. And would definitely wear it.

Serenster · 24/10/2022 21:07

Meanwhile, on the “not quite sure about that ensemble” front, here is Mathilde and Phillipe arriving in Lithuania for a state visit. Mathilde has a pink and grey Armani coat on, paired with a bright blue flying saucer hat.

It looks quite bonkers in the long view, until you realise that there’s quite a lot of blue in the print at the top of the coat. Not a success though, I don’t think.

Mathilde's style really doesn't appeal to me.

Maireas · 24/10/2022 21:31

Not keen on Mathilde's look, difficult to say why, except that Armani normally looks a bit sharper than that? I like the brooch, though - that seems interesting.

To quote my mother "It's different" which meant she hated it
Isn't it more an "ombre" effect? Maybe it looks better in person.

Eaumyword · 24/10/2022 22:04

I agree with your mum, @hesbeingabitofadick - it is 'different'!
Not my cup of tea either...

Eaumyword · 24/10/2022 22:40

HMQ looks fab there 💕

Maireas · 24/10/2022 23:01

HMQ looks great there! A touch of Queen Mary with the fur and the style of hat. It's unusual to see her with boots.
Miss her ☹️

MotherofPearl · 24/10/2022 23:55

I love that whole outfit on HMQ.

I'm afraid I'm not at all keen on Mathilde's ombré outfit.

MotherofPearl · 24/10/2022 23:59

We all know how much Mathilde loves to match things, so maybe this time she chose something - the hat - that hardly matches at all, to confound our expectations. Grin

AdaColeman · 25/10/2022 00:09

Mathilde is related through her grandmother to Lithuanian nobility, so it will be an interesting trip for her.

I'm not sure about Mathilde's Armani coat, it's too busy with the all over pattern and the colour changes, it emphasis all the wrong bits of Mathilde's figure, and the matching patterned bag is definitely step too far.
It might have worked better with a pink hat, to tie it together a bit more.

Mathilde has pulled out all the stops for the Lithuanian state banquet tonight, wearing a striking dress in a gorgeous fabric of orange with a blue tropical flower motif, in a swirling cape design.

Serenster · 25/10/2022 07:05

It’s pretty much a caftan, but I love the bold print and this she looks really good. I’ve included the picture with the First Lady of Lithuania in it, as she veered a little too close to the “Star Wars General” line for me

Serenster · 25/10/2022 07:06

it would help if I added the picture…

Do check out MaliaMillsNYC Insta account. They’ve posted a few of the usual negative comments (none of the above) and have turned what could have been the usual trashing of any account that is linked with Meghan into a positive.

Eaumyword · 25/10/2022 08:14

I quite like that bold orange/blue pattern.

justasking111 · 25/10/2022 08:16

This is why I've never been a fake tan fan 🤣😂

Maireas · 25/10/2022 08:19

Thanks, @Serenster - Star Wars General is very apt! Diana Nausediene rocks a pendant, though! I'm all for colour and Mathilde is definitely going bold with this one. Max would look great in this! Very Margo Leadbetter.

More pictures of Leti at the theatre. I like the navy and think it's a different look for her - the backless is quite dramatic. The fake tan doesn't look quite as bad on these pictures, @justasking111 . Lovely earrings.

Definitely a touch of Queen Mary @Maireas
