SOTD geurlain bois d'armenie. I bloody love this. Just wish it wasn't so expensive. pretty much used up every drop of my decant and just can't justify the cost of a bottle. I really wish I could afford it though.

One of the most interesting things about scents to me is just how different they can smell to, and on, different people.

The other half of the reviews for Firedance talked a lot about the rose notes (I could only smell heavy smoke and medicine, no rose at all).

It's also a sample that I'd already used 2/3rds of...so the last few times I used it I must have liked it (or at least not hated it) but this time I couldn't have disliked it more 🤷🏻‍♀️

SOTD - sample of Catherine Malando - Style de Paris.

Very fruity and sweet. The sweetness is tempered and made more complex by some patchouli, overall still a bit too sweet for me though. Good projection to start but now its died down.

SOTE PP Angels’ Share. Never tried the original so can’t compare but the PP version is so good!

Pp version is very good imo

I won the Narciso Rodriguez samples on eBay - For Her, Musc Noir, Pure Musc and Musc Noir Rose.

I think(?) I love musk but I'll definitely know for sure after these!

SOTD: Gentle Fluidity Gold by MDK. I LOVE this perfume. It's on my 'to purchase a full bottle when I can' list.

I like the Silver too but find it a bit too masculine leaning for me personally.

Their opium dupe is amazing. Just like original 1977 version.
I'm also a fan of their by the fireplace and angles share Dupes. Their tauer au coeur du desert is pretty good too.

I haven't really looked in to the Zoologist scents too much but I love their bottles...I'm a bit mad about animals.

I'd probably have a mini-petting zoo by now if DH wasn't here to reign me in (so currently only have 3 cats and 1 dog).

Joining in the Obsession love 👋♥️. One of my all time favourites, but I keep it for Christmas, it seems to suit the festive season, for me. 🎄

Also echoing the PP love. Yy to their Opium being spot on. Their ambers are quite good too. And I do love their Angel's Share and Kayali Vanilla dupes after @Chevyimpala67 put me on to them.

I forgot their kayali vanilla. It's indistinguishable from the original imo

God I had been so rubbish with posting lately - I go through phases with TikTok and I am definitely in one right now! SOTD is Liz Earle 15, and I hope everyone is doing well. January is almost OVER.

Does anyone happen to know if there are any dupes about of Guerlain bois d'armenie? I NEED a bottle in my life but at £290 I can't see it happening with the genuine article unfortunately.

They are quite polarising- some very wearable and some definitely not so!

I do find them very interesting as a brand, and it's a fun concept!

SOTD Kayali Vanilla Royale layered with Vanilla 28. Used up the last of my 10ml bottles of both of these today, which is an excellent excuse to buy a new vanilla perfume 😀 Just not sure what!

My favourite house! I have a full bottle of Civet and of T Rex, a travel spray of Rhinoceros and masses of samples I've tried over the past few years as well.
Beast Mode is my thing, and the ones I've mentioned have massive projection, sillage and longevity - but as others here have mentioned, they're not for everyone. Really quite polarising, and definitely not safe blind buys.
Zoologist do a ton of different styles of fragrance, so there will most likely be something among their stuff that you will really like; I'd probably browse their website and see what combinations of notes appeal to you. Then order a few samples and get ready to have some fun with them!
I am maybe biased, since I love this house so much, but I think their compositions are among the most interesting and complex you will find anywhere in the perfume world.

You're brave wearing T-Rex! I had a sample of it and it's one of the scariest things I've tried, definitely a beast!
SOTE Jicky - smells like off milk on me, it's repulsive but I'm drawn to it too. A sample from the Escentuals lavender box.

@Chevyimpala67 , Cool! I feel a bit of a kinship with you, since I'm sure we are in a minority. I do think it's a greatly misunderstood fragrance, though. There is real beauty in there, as well as beastliness. 🦖🥀🌿🌳🌴🔥
