All the talk of samples reminded me that I had two Chanel samples untested from before Christmas.

So, SOTE is Le Lion, which I'm enjoying so far. Smoke, patchouli, and ambery vanilla goodness. Right up my street and perfect for winter. ❄️☃️

Have finally come down with the regular seasonal cold which I managed to avoid for the last few years (lockdown et al). BUT my sense of smell is still OK and I haven't lost my voice (yet) so there is that.

A vanilla day for me, Kayali Vanilla 28 during the day and I’ve just put some By the Fireplace on for the evening.

Did someone on here say they were wearing the Skylar Vanilla recently? Can I ask where you get that in the UK?

SOTD Kilian good girl gone bad. Didn't like the initial spritz but its been a good couple of hours and I do keep sniffing myself and its nice! Still prefer angels share I think but this would be a nice all year round scent.

SOTD the new one from Ormonde Jayne- Sakura. It's cherry blossom but with a bit more weight and a spicy accord. I'm still getting used to it.

It's lasted all day! Very nice. I might try it again tomorrow

I find spring and summer far harder scent wise. I lived in S&B white peaches and 4160tuesdays fluffy lemon top

I find spring/summer tremendously difficult in terms of fragrance too, as the smell families I love just fit naturally with autumn/winter. ❄️☃️ Season-wise I love winter, autumn and spring the most - I don't really get on with summer at all.

I'm determined to find perfumes I'll love for s/s too, so I'm going to explore musks (which I don’t know very well) and uber powdery fragrances (which I love, love, LOVE but don't own many of) this year to rectify this. 😊

No SOTD as yet, off to fix this.

I think Valentino poudree is the best powdery perfume I've ever had. It can still be found on ebay
