Cosmetic surgery in Turkey

So I’ve book my surgery in Turkey for this time next week . Flights cost £500
and the deposit was £300. Now I’m thinking of not going but £800 is an awful lot of money to loose . Has anyone used the company ‘clineca’ before ? The surgeons name is dr alp ercan if anyone knows him.

@passport123
I understand but to be fair I’ve seen some many doctors in the uk over the last ten years and non would help me . My nose was a mess and I could hardly breathe through it . The last time I saw a doctor a few months ago in the uk waiting months to see him was in there 5 minutes and said he can’t do anything. I’ve read loads of great stuff about surgery in Turkey especially for rhinoplasty. And of course a lot of horror stories to ! So it was a big decision the first clinic I booked didn’t feel right so I changed last minute to another I had researched and was originally going to book with . This wasn’t a cosmetic surgery place it’s a normal hospital that treats Turkish residents to and you book with the particular surgeon

Ahh yes the good old NHS. Bring you tea and biscuits after an op and then sort you out again when you've been abroad for surgery and it's gone wrong. Even though it's on its arse as it is.

Anyfeckinusername · 30/09/2022 10:55

Rooting for you OP - hope the checkup goes well at 3. Get all your questions ready!! When do you get to have a peak at your nose? You must be excited too now it's fixed?

@maddiesmam
We all know why the NHS , housing and lack of school places is on its knees. But I suspect it’s politically incorrect to say why.
Dont think it’s to do with people going to Turkey for cosmetic surgery somehow 👍🏼

I don’t think it’s politically incorrect to say that the Tories have fucked the country.

What a ridiculous comment.

Also the other person I mentioned who went for surgery only went because the nhs wouldn’t help her or had a really long waiting list . She had very large breasts with chronic back pain so came for a reduction. So actually helped the nhs out by one less patient to see 🤷🏻‍♀️

How much is the total cost ? I had my nose done in the uk and it was £3500 I just wouldn’t trust going abroad especially with it being a facial surgery.

@Meili04
jeez how terrifying! We’re you in pain ? Had they already started operating?
no I don’t think I’d come back unless it’s something that can be done by local anaesthetic. There just not caring enough and I find some of there hospital procedures abit strange.

I woke up while they were cutting me I remember thinking ow it hurts then I spoke and said "you're hurting me" I had no intubation so they used twilight anesthesia for abdominal keyhole surgery 😩. I also woke up at the end on the operating table screaming and crying. I started attacking the staff as I was so confused.

Tomatodori · 30/09/2022 15:28

@Threebutterflies don't leave there until you have a good check up! Fingers crossed for you! it I unbelievable that they call in people from abroad and do not speak English..

@Meili04 this sounds absolutely terrifying

Threebutterflies · 30/09/2022 16:03

@Meili04
gosh im so sorry you had to go through that ! I hope you got over that experience it must be traumatic. Did they offer you any compensation?

Hi, I have also been looking at rhinoplasty via Clineca so this was really helpful! My main concern like you is that I can’t seem to find any ‘real’ results, the Trustpilot ones seem too good to be true.. I was wondering what surgeon you went with in the end? I have been offered Dr Tolga

blondeshoulderlength · 04/02/2023 17:18

Brits keep flying to Turkey to get their teeth whittled down and replaced with giant white gnashers, hair transplants and BBLs. Too risky imo.

GiveYourHeadAWobble · 04/02/2023 17:25

How's your nose now, OP?

Coffeepot72 · 04/02/2023 17:39

My dentist (NHS, UK) said he won’t touch Turkey Teeth!

Logsandcogs · 04/02/2023 21:16

Sorry, but I'm actually from there, live here now, and have done my teeth, botoks, various other bits, kids braces, health check ups, c section, all there, and I wouldnt touch NHS or even private here with a bargepole. There's Better care, better education and more experienced doctors over therr, obviously generalising but have never been dissapointed. Cheaper too, but quality is the main attraction for me. The gp system here means few specialists. Tired stressed out doctors. Folks trashing Turkish medics here probably went to the obviously wrong place, or were really unlucky. The thing is, good doctors in Turkey don't Need to advertise services abroad. Do maybe that's a factor too. There are enough queues outside their doors.

Wasteofmoneyornot · 04/02/2023 21:48

I'm a nurse and have several colleagues ( Drs and nurses ) who have all gone to Turkey for various procedures such as Gastric sleeve , Rhinoplasty , skin removal and face lifts

None had any issues and all said how great the experience was .. such high standards , great care , good post op care and much more affordable.

Not all bad

I agree with you.

Do you happen to know of any reputable cosmetic surgeons by name? What is the official board where their credentials can be checked?
