Will people wear black tomorrow?

I work in a fairly traditional environment. Not sure if I should wear black tomorrow or not? What's everyone else doing?

I’m planning to.

I'll wear black tomorrow when I go into the office. But I'm a civil servant and it would be expected.

I'm not attached to black but I don't think I'll be wearing my bright red or bright orange or pink dresses. I'll pick something muted and inoffensive.

This came up on a chat with several of my friends who are ageing goths.

I will be wearing black as a mark of respect

They've not asked her to grieve, just to wear black. She could be over the moon that the Queen's dead as long as she's wearing the appropriate clothing for her job.

We have been asked to wear dark clothing till after the funeral, and to avoid bright patterns or bright colours.

As most people support this rotten institution these expectations will be there. If I had the misfortune to be a wage slave I would go into work tomorrow in red. What can these people do to you? Put you in the tower.

I wear a mixture, so tomorrow I may as well choose something on the darker side.

I'm an employer. We won't be telling staff what to wear, but I will wear black tomorrow as I think many of the team will expect it and would find it disrespectful if I didn't.

I'm already wearing black due to the recent death of my father, but I wouldn't wear it because of the Queen although I'm sure some random people I see will think that's why.

My only black clothes are a pair of lycra running leggings and a rather worn out 10k race t-shirt. Neither of which would be suitable for what I'm doing.
