Wedding guest 90s theme

I've been invite to a 90s themed wedding, any ideas of what I could wear?
Help...

I'd totally go as Scarlett from Four weddings.

I always attended special occasions in the 90's wearing my trusty ruffle cuff shirt and waistcoat.

Or I had a lovely matching purple chequered waistcoat and skirt outfit.

Can't take any credit though as my mum dressed me!

That was the early 90's though. I think early 90's and late 90's we're different fashion trends.

Tea dress with doc Martens. I lived in them in the 90's. Alternatively leggings, lumberjack shirt and leggings

Oh that’s a good point! You really need to find out if they mean ‘90s theme’ or ‘90s wedding guest theme’ as the two would differ quite markedly IMO.

Ball gowns were still a thing in the 90s definitely. I had a black corset one with a bronze full skirt.

It's an odd decade to pick. I don't think there's a distinctive 1990s look. The 20s, 50s and 60s have the most distinct style and loads of people still wear 50s and 60s styles. The better stuff from the 70s is not dissimilar from 2022 long dresses. 80s is irredeemably awful.

If I still had my 1990s neat tailored suits and Laura Ashley and Monsoon dresses the only reason I wouldn't wear them now is because they don't fit. I still have one Monsoon dress and a Jackpot Carly Gris dress from the early/mid 90s I can still fit into. They are just long, button through floral dresses. They're very pretty but don't look any different from loads of 2022 dresses.

It needs ironing but this was bought in 1995. It comes to just above ankle length.

Wear what you like and then add a choker, lipgloss, some sort of face/body glitter and a streak of hair mascara plus possibly some White Musk eau de toilette from the body shop if wished.
