Anyone fancy a good old-fashioned 100 day princessing thread??

i haven’t seen one of these in a while and I need it!!!

I’ve been a bit of a mess since lockdown. Overweight, drinking too much, house a bit of a mess, sleep patterns gone out the window, not much exercise (I do walk the dog but he’s older so it’s more of a gentle stroll).

I want to feel like me again and I like a deadline.

In 103 days it’s 28th November, which is pretty much the start of Christmas. We also have a Center Parcs holiday booked.
Now if you’re Irish (like me), Christmas starts on 25th November (The Late Late Toy Show) so it’s actually 100 days today!

In the past, people would come up with a list of 10? things they want to focus on over the 100 days. I think In the early challenges there used to be 1 list but later ones were more individual with everyone having their own list.

My basics are

  1. 7.5 hours sleep a night (I never seem to get to 8)
  2. 2L water a day
  3. 16:8 fasting
  4. Shower, teeth & wash face daily.
  5. Start back with TOMM cleaning schedule
  6. use Lumea hair removal weekly
  7. deep clean every room
  8. figure out how to deal with my wavy hair
  9. get my eyebrows done
  10. exercise, even just for 10 minutes, everyday.
I might tweak some of these but it’s a starting point.

so anyone else in??

I've managed to get two decent night's sleep, go for a run, use my hand cream enough that my hands already look a lot better, drink plenty, take my vitamins and eat enough fruit and veg.

Weekdays will be the challenge!

AnyoneElseFeelDone · 21/08/2022 20:11

Sounds like some good progress.
I have managed from my list:
Fasting
Vitamins
Yoga

Off plan but good: family swim, dry body brush and moisturise and scrub and heel balm for feet.

Mostly drink water anyway but have drunk lots today too.

Good luck for the week!

BumWeasel · 21/08/2022 20:55

Slow progress for me today.
I have not bitten my nails and used hand cream.
Done some batch cooking for healthy lunches.
Deep conditioned my hair.
Done 30mins exercise. If I can't get out for my walk I am using any fitness type program on the switch /VR headset or a you tube video.
I also remembered to cleanse and moisturise my face last night and this morning.
I remembered to take my iron.
Now I've written it all down it looks better than I thought.

declutteringmymind · 21/08/2022 21:14

Looks like everyone is getting off to a good start. I'm building up to things. So today I've done 20000 steps, a full beauty routine and am about to get an early night. I've eaten ok but have been shopping today for healthier meals.

I'm going to tidy the house from top to bottom tomorrow. I'm also going to put my whitening trays, hair and face mask on whilst doing so. Let's hope the kids don't sabotage it too much!

What vitamins are you all taking?

Communionmom · 21/08/2022 22:27

Day 2/99

Had a bit of a day out today. Took the DDs to a lovely playground and then went to a pizza place for dinner (it’s called Milanos in Ireland but think it’s Pizza Express in the UK). So I put in earrings and a bit of make up and perfume.

Tonight I used the Lumea on my left leg, took off my make up and used a face mask.

I was going to do my feet but can’t find my pumice stone.

I’m going to focus on what I do rather than what I don’t.

I'd love to join. Over the next 100 days I'd like to
1: drink more water
2: attend kickboxing twice each week and do 10-15 minutes of exercise every day
3: have less screen time
4: continue 16:8
5: stop purchasing clothing for myself
6: hike once a month
7: have 30 minutes of selfcare time each day

Voltefarce · 22/08/2022 07:19

Can I join this? Need a kick up the backside. I’ll post my list later 😀

JMAngel1 · 22/08/2022 07:41

Placemarking

Yogachick · 22/08/2022 07:56

Can I join? I’m great at starting not so great consistency . I have chronic issues so can’t be too ambitious ,91days till my big holiday yesterday ,so:
min 10k steps
at least 8 glasses of water
c25k (2wks each tho)
3 strength workouts/week 10 mins+
1 proper stretch/mobility per week at lease
stop looking at/ buying clothes till end Oct
get hairdresser to manage my colour& help me grow my hair properly
exfoliate twice a week
I’ve already booked Lash lift & tint & eyebrow tints- another neglected area which makes me feel so much better make up free, being pasty skinned & going grey. Don’t cancel these appointments.

Started C25k yesterday/16669 steps/10 glasses water
still pondered clothes but that’s ok as I hadn’t decided then. Have replaced it with pondering hairstyles🙄difficult when you have a fat face a heavy jaw and secretly long for the ease of a Judi Dench cut.
Strength this morning- Jessica Smith on YT for a bad back.

Yogachick · 22/08/2022 07:58

And stop the mindless scrolling!

peacocktail · 22/08/2022 09:14

I would love to join you , thank you for this thread. I have become a bit of a minger recently and need a boost to get myself esteem up. x

psuedocream3 · 22/08/2022 11:07

Good morning everyone! Day one for me...

I started with good intentions to give up tea (I gave up coffee and replaced with tea unfortunately) butmy husband brought me up a cup this morning. I have a recipe for morning juice shots which I plan to make later today so I don't get sabotaged tomorrow. Its apple, lemon, turmeric and ginger which I have already. Theres a few others but I will stick with those to see how it goes.

Weighed myself expecting the worst but I haven't put on any weight since I lost interest in weighing earlier this year, and actually lost 1lb, with being more careful with my eating I can lose the last half a stone quickly I would think.

So I need to sort out some exercise, what is everyone else doing? Needs to be something I can do around the routine of young children

Petmurf · 22/08/2022 11:52

A good 2 days.

taken vitamins
good skincare
moisturised hands and feet
no alcohol since Saturday
asleep by 10pm
lovely herbal tea before bed last night and 2 this morning
filed house admin stuff
decluttered a blanket box
batch cooked 3 meals so 10 individual meals in the freezer

SquirrelFan · 22/08/2022 13:13

It seems like everyone's doing well! I've managed:
Water
Drinking less(alcohol)
Workout every day
Pamper Sunday (nails and feet)
Working on the 10 veg a day.
Also dug out hair treatment and some teeth whitening strips, which I've added in twice a week. And managed loads of steps - hope I can keep it all up in September (work in a school)!

Communionmom · 22/08/2022 18:44

Day 3/97

Water is an issue. I really have to start earlier in the morning. I have about 6 million water bottles so no excuse!

Wasn't really leaving the house today, just to visit my mum so no make-up and didn't do anything with my hair.

To be completely honest, I don't have a great relationship with my mum and she was difficult today so I'm in a very 'blah' mode. She has a few aches and pains (she's 80) and won't do anything the doctor advised last time - like rubbing in anti inflammatory gel and taking paracetamol and is just demanding I get her an appointment with a different doctor. I have a thread on the elderly parents board so I don't want to go off on a rant here, it's just tough when she just complains but won't do anything to help herself.

Day 3/98

AnyoneElseFeelDone · 22/08/2022 19:26

Hi, sounds like everyone is off to a good start, but it's keeping it up that's hard isn't it?

I've done my:
Fasting
No gluten
Vitamins
Meditation

Lots of water, a walk and an hour of CPD.

I use this vitamin supplement: Vitabiotics Immunace

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/08/2022 19:47

Apparentley if you do something for 21 days it becomes a habit .

So easier to pick a few things you can add in , then add more .

10 would be too many for me but the water , the new toothbrush and the Revitalash/Revitabrow are a good start for me

thelastgreatdynasty · 22/08/2022 20:25

2/99

Ive had a mixed bag of a day. I ended up feeling really low this evening, which is unlike me. I really didn't want to do exercise l, but I forced myself to cycle and I feel better for it.
I have journaled, practiced gratitude, read, exercised, looked after my skin and moisturised including feet! Ummm, had fruit and veg and thrown some things out.
So writing it down, I've actually done very well. Tomorrow I will make more effort with water.

thelastgreatdynasty · 22/08/2022 20:25

Oh and no booze either!

declutteringmymind · 22/08/2022 20:30

Mine has been a bit of a mixed bag too.

The main achievement is that I've eaten really well, made some healthy lunches for the next few days.

Slept well last night too which helped

Have drunk more water

15000 steps

I didn't manage to do the teeth whitening, hair mask or face mask - decided to take the youngest to the toy shop to spend his birthday vouchers.

I'm tentatively doing a 16 hour fast so need to distract myself before bed.

Well done all

2/98

BumWeasel · 22/08/2022 20:54

Day 2

Haven't done well on my eating today, but it's my birthday this week and I have a lunch out planned and there will be cake etc, so I'm not going to start until the week after, which does give me time to plan.

I didn't bite my nails today and used hand cream.
Cleansed my face etc.
Went for a 40min walk.

Going to try and drink a glass of water between each cup of tea tomorrow.

Vitamins are prescribed iron and vit D spray

Purpleavocado · 22/08/2022 21:23

I had my nails done and then coloured my hair. I was trying to transition to grey hair, but after 8 months I had to admit to myself it was doing me no favours.
